In mom’s case it’s clearly self-harm. There was nothing about physical abuse, so we can only assume it was mental abuse which caused suicidal tendencies in his mother. So he was concerned that she tried to harm herself at the hospital too.

He probably realizes that but at this point he’s not thinking of taking over the company so he doesn’t care (he never wanted to work at the company). All he wants is for his dad to grant his mom a divorce. But he agrees to the broadcast because FL pleads for it — he can’t resist her 🤣😁

Love to Hate You is a similar drama. Business Proposal too. Personally, also love 2025 drama Love Scout — it’s about more mature people (ML has a young kid) but ML is the greenest of green flags and his interactions with FL are so great (after an episode or two). Even a misunderstanding gets resolved quickly :)

The next steps would be rescuing ML’s mom from his dad and taking over the company. Officially, ML is supposed to marry 2FL — not only ML’s dad wants that marriage but also 2FL’s dad as well.

There was a cleaning lady like that in Crazy Love (2022 drama with Krystal Jung).

I hope ML finds out himself but doesn’t let her know that he knows. That’s been done in other dramas and it makes it more fun than just simply dragging on the misunderstanding.
