yeah sometimes childhood connection is so unnecessary (cough cough: queen of tears...) but I think this time its…
Childhood connection in QoT was handled pretty well, I think. It wasn’t a main super-crucial point and they even got married without being aware of that connection.
This is way too early 👀 then would they show in remaining 6 ep.
FL’s ex will try to get his hands on the $5M house? Thats my assumption — he will make her life difficult again. And, to be fair, FL hasn’t officially divorced him yet — she never turned in the paperwork.
She think it was a combination of visit to Bo clan place (because she started to get better after that and before…
Sorry, I meant he just doesn’t tell her because he doesn’t want to make her feel obligated to him in any way. Unlike SL who is flaunting his help and being very pushy.
If they f*ck up the ending for this drama I'm going to need the leads to make another romantic drama to make up…
So much depends on screenwriting that it’s not always a foolproof idea to simply cast leads from one drama into another one. For example, Zhao Jin Mai + Zhang Ling He were great in The Princess Royal (2024), but people were less thrilled with Our Generation (2025) because of the script / source novel.
But it can certainly work well too: Esther Yu + Ding Yu Xi were liked in both “Moonlight” (2021) and “Love Game in Eastern Fantasy” (2024). Actually, 2ML from Moonlight was in LGIEF too 😁
The lead couple is very nice together!Have you watched “When Destiny Brings the Demon” yet? That drama probably…
Yes, looking forward to Wang Chu Ran’s Hidden Shadow (end of 2025 / early 2026? 😳) and to see her in Love Has Fireworks with Tan Jian Ci (if it ever sees the light of day [2ML becomes unbanned]).

The chemistry was pretty good. The writers did some plot-holes / illogical things so you have to suspend disbelief somewhat. For example, heroes are riding in horseback in a very shallow river, FL falls off and ML dives in to save her as if she were drowning in an ocean (that’s because in the book it did happen in deep water instead of ankle-deep river). LOTFG is also not as serious/deep as something like Prisoner of Beauty or Fated Hearts (to name two recent dramas). It’s actually lighter in tone than the previews suggest. So it’s a pretty solid drama but not a must-watch (and I’m a fan of FL and 2FL actresses).

Thanks! Will watch it after this drama is done. I really liked The Immortal Ascension even though it had practically no romance either (despite the “romance” tag MDL assigned to it and refused to remove for a few weeks).

AYTO is the drama I re-watch when my frustration meter fills up after enduring tired annoying tropes & cliches that exist in so many dramas (and most of them are there solely to increase episode count). And I like the fact that characters behave rationally/logically — there are no sudden changes where a good character turns bad because plot needs a bad guy (*cough* Legend of Female General *cough*). And both leads are smart enough to do correct things and to avoid getting into trouble (or to find a way out of trouble).

If you like strong female leads, I highly suggest Are You the One (historical costume drama). The FL is probably one of the best all-around leads and the story is very good (screenwriters of Fated Hearts or Flourished Peony need to take lessons from writers of AYTO). Without giving away too much, the story starts out small and expands in scope quite a bit (MDL description isn’t quite accurate so ignore it). And chemistry between the leads is ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. AYTO is also available on YouTube for free with pretty good subtitles (I’ve watched both Viki and YouTube versions).
Someone made a guess it will be Ep. 33 based on a drawing on the episode schedule but it’s a speculation. The drama is so different from the novel, it’s hard to tell anything.

SL = green -> yellow -> orange -> red flag 🚩
