Schedule is usually so hard to find, I use YOUKU trailers to figure out how many will be released. I’m the U.S. version of the YOUKU app, there are trailers for Ep. 23 & 24.

Thank you! I really enjoyed the series because it’s really an like an old-fashioned detective movie/show. I wouldn’t mind a sequel, but I can always forget about the last minute of the show and think of it as a full-blown happy ending

P.S. “Begin Again” (2024) is a really nice drama with a mix of Cantonese and Mandarin (since it’s set in Macau), but it’s a lot easier to figure out who is speaking what language :)

Am I remembering correctly that BJT learned Cantonese for this role? Saw it reported somewhere but not sure it can be trusted.

So how does Book 1 end? Did ML take the serum to remove his ability but it didn’t work fully? Or did he never take it (since it wasn’t shown on the screen)? 🤔

Yes, angst is still present in Ep. 18. It’s not unbearable amount because the show is not super, super heavy. I’d say “Love between Fairy and Devil” was more nerve wrecking.

At this point we can expect a visit from Ming Xian’s mom to check out on how her “daughter-in-law” is doing 🤣

I think FL knows she loves him (the bridge wouldn’t appear otherwise), but she can’t fully give into her feelings due to her circumstances.

I haven’t read the novel, but responded to your other comment with some details about the book (based on comments from others).

From what others posted, the biggest difference is ML character. He wasn’t as good in the novel — he was a real womanizer and was involved in other relationship(s) even after marriage to FL. Oh, and — as usual with books — FL & ML slept together immediately when she got to his place. And FL in the book got injuried/poisoned before the competition, so she couldn’t even compet again ML. So, basically, lots of changes :)
