Has anyone watched the anime version of this drama? Season 1 seems like it follows events of the drama but just-releaaed Season 2 is set after the events of the drama (if iQIYI summary is accurate).
I don't usually comment on anything after watching one episode, but genuinely wtf is this?? Alys is just a spoilt…
It’s based on a popular Wattpad “novel” from 2012 but it’s not serious literature (fan-fiction 3rd “book” was also published on Wattpad to give you an idea). Think of this book as similar to cheesy American teenage movies from 2000s. FL plays her character well (again, it’s more of a funny/cringy drama). I’ve only watched a few Filipino dramas and there is something charming in more raw, realistic feeling compared to very polished sanitized K- and C-dramas (which have much, much higher budgets).
they r both mature. Is series going to cover both book 1 and 2?
It seems like the MV scenes are not actually from the drama (the look and feel are completely different). So right now we are watching Season 1 (Book 1) and, maybe, they will decide to make Season 2 (Book 2) depending on reception & ratings.
Personally, I never rate anything until I finish watching it. And then this is still an in-progress ongoing drama…
MLis a doctor who sees & talk to a boy throughout the series which turns out to be a dead boy he couldn’t save in Africa (because there was an explosion during surgery not because ML made a mistake). To deal with this, ML begins taking medication but it makes him un-emotional (dead inside). To help deal with that, FL & his friends take a letter from the boy (as if he survived) and make ML come back to Africa. So, his mind actually does become better and we are heading for a happy ending… until ML gets kidnapped by terrorists. FL goes to Africa and spends a long time looking for him (in reality, he’s probably dead but we never find out for sure). So now it’s FL’s turn to become mentally unstable. She returns back to China but as a shell of her usual self and we end with her walking around seeing visions of ML. Like it’s not even an open ending, it’s clearly FL going insane and this is a terrible ending for what until point was more of a rom-com instead of a super serious psychological drama. Just absolutely insane 😡🤬🤯

Hmm… not the best ending but not the worst. Maybe I will give it a chance. I’m perpetually amazed at how badly drama writers manage to fumble endings. Unless it’s a drama based on real events, just give us a satisfying ending which fits all previous episodes without trying to throw a twist/obstacle at the very end. BTW, I highly do NOT recommend watching “A Beautiful Lie”. It was a good series until the last 2-3 episodes and rankings got hammered because of the absurd nonsensical ending 😢🥺🤯
I'm anticipating this and hidden shadow. They have been holding back for long now 😭
I really want to see “Love Has Fireworks” with WCR & TJC. Not only would it be a different genre (rom-com) but I want WCR to become a monopolists when it comes to dramas with “firework(s)” in their name 🤣

You liked “Have a Crush on You”? The comments & reviews say the ending episode(s) are bad and don’t make sense (at least, from what I recall reading). Is that not true? Does it have a good even sing which actually fits the story?
Are we taking bets on whether WeTV/Tencent will release this before or after their much-delayed WCR modern drama (Love Has Fireworks)? Can we please ask all actors here to avoid getting into legal trouble 🙏🙏🙏
