How is TPoB so far? I’m tempted to start watching it but have to finish the last few episodes of Song Zuer’s last drama (The Demon Hunter’s Romance).

One day breaks are not uncommon for C-dramas but not sure what drives those decisions. Even worse, sometimes there is a longer break at the end — you either pay for express package or have to wait ~3 days.

Are there any C-dramas in this genre that have those scenes? Genuinely wondering because I’m not as familiar with costume/historical dramas. Even on the modern C-drama side, I can only think of “Step by Step Love”.

All three of ML’s buddies will probably end up with a love interest. For now, there is clearly a second pair in the making but others may take more time.

I think they did say something like that but it could have been just because of a close relation between ML & the Emperor. To be fair, though, we don’t know who ML’s parents were yet (they are deceased). Will keep an eye on this :)

Ah, I get your point. I was trying to convey the similar message — even though FL is demanding & discerning, it’s not shown as a negative. She knows what she is worth and the social norms & standards she must maintain to preserve her reputation and reputation of her family. So she’s not a pampered princess who just lounges around being lazy. She actually runs her household.

Isn’t it pretty normal for C-dramas to remove a lot of intimate relationships/scenes when adopting books/novels/webtoons?

ML is not a blood relative of the Emperor (at least, nothing so far suggests that). But he is a most-trusted person, helped Emperor, great general, etc. Like it was mentioned above, “Prince” is an honorary title. For example, in “Are You the One”, a person was granted a title of Princess due to her achievements.

There was an issue with how episodes were loaded. Eoiaode 8 was loaded into Episode 6. Now it’s been fixed.

She’s not really high-maintenance, she is discerning. Some of the “high maintenance” stuff is due to her having to find ways to delay/cancel engagement. But also she’s the most eligible bachelorette in the capital, very talented in multiple disciplines and from a very prominent family.

FL only had four basic demands for ML: to protect her family, to protect her safety and her reputation, and to not necessarily expect intimate activities. It’s all pretty normal stuff so not sure why someone is took offense to that. ML & FL are very nice together and both care for each other.

Totally agree! This is one of those rare dramas where heroes make reasonable decisions and act rationally. It honestly gets even better during re-watching because you are not as concerned about what is going to happen and can grasp more details.

P.S. Waterfall scene in Ep. 23 is so, so good 👏

Yeah, main couple carried the show, of course. It was hilarious that no one would believe them when they got together 🤣

I’ve only watched YAMLF twice, lol. The third couple is so nice — their shared interest in space reminds me of You Are My Glory, another drama about a relationship between a “regular person” and an actress 🥰
