In the novel, FL’s parents are still alive and doing okay (based on what someone else had posted).

People said that half of the book was in the past, so hopefully after Ep. 15, we will move to present quickly. But it could have been worse — in Lighter & Princess (ML’s famous role) we spent 2/3 in the past.

Wanna Be (aka Hello, Model!) is 29 episodes of CiCi looking gorgeous :)

I hope we get to the present soon since we already know the past’s ending.

I’m sure her niceness will not last long. Screenwriters put her there for a reason. She will probably do something stealthy to try to sabotage the FL.

You will like 9 & 10 :)

So far it’s average (so 8.0 grade is appropriate) but only 10 of 28 episodes are out. A lot will depend on the present day episodes which will come later (this is similar to L&P where Episode 1 is the present and then the story is told chronologically starting from the past).

Thanks for mentioning Wanna Be. I’ve seen it in YOUKU app but never watched it. Will add it to my list :)

Epiaodes 9 & 10 are pretty good, even Feng Sheng does something nice for a change :)

This is a fun heist movie similar to, say, Ocean’s Eleven. The cast is nice too.

The past takes half of the novel so we may have to wait a bit. Based on trailers for episodes 9 & 10, they are still in the past.

Based on FL’s words in Ep 1, ML will do something to cause their breakup so he’s not fully green. Who are other green flags of 2025 C-dramas? MLs of TFF and TBT? 🤔

Viki app shows Episodes 1-3 “available in 4 days”, so April 14-15?

Maybe best to wait until all the episodes are out so you can look at the comments/reviews.

I liked L&P overall but even in that show I wanted them to get to the present day quickly. Instead, we watched 2/3 of the show waiting to find out why ML went to jail and… it turned out to be because he was immature enough to attack a person in broad daylight in front of hundreds of witnesses. He is a genius and could not think of a better plan *sigh*

ML asks someone to run with him as a way of saying “I like you”. Why? Who knows… 🤷‍♂️

It would be interesting to see how the show would be if they intercut present day & past flashbacks instead of giving us all past and then all present (except for Episode 1). That’s not how it was in the book, but we know they are going to break up so a mix of both timelines together would be more interesting.
