The comments page has been pretty okay (just not super exciting) and the rating is good now. But, unlike some other dramas, there are no abusive/down-voting crowds of anti-fans/fans of rival actors/actresses.

After what happened in L&P (the dumb reason for going to prison), I’m not holding my breath on a good explanation for what’s going on. Just need them to get to the present day sooner than in L&P :)

In the first episode she said “I will never forgive him for what he did” or something like that.

You are welcome! Creators of Fake It made another drama [Begin Again (2024)] with same ML. It’s mostly set in Macau and it was nice to see historical side of it. It’s also relatively short and chill (slow burn-ish/relaxing).

Meeting You (2020) is a hidden gem. Looks like you watched most everything I’d recommend… What about “When I Fly Towards You”, “You Are My Lover, Friend”, “Fake It Till You Make It”? Those are good series from 2023-2024 (maybe I didn’t scroll down far enough on your list 🤓)

Honestly, here the leads probably like each other about the same except that FL is concerned about the wealth gap between their families. She claims innocence to her roommates but I think it’s pretty clear she likes him :)

Maybe you can find English dubs? Her voice usually fits the character well, so a few episodes in it becomes normal to me :)

Out of the first four episodes, 3.5 are dedicated to the start of ML & FL relationship in the past. It’s pretty nice but still early and hasn’t gotten super romantic.

His family is reasonably well-off at the time ML & FL met in the past and he is probably doing well in the present day. But he’s not throwing money around and flaunting his wealth. Rather, in the university (the past) he’s using almost all the funds for research & development.

In addition to “The Best Thing”, there’s also “Fake It Till You Make It” (2023), “Begin Again” (2024), and “Moonlight” (2021; starring Esther Yu).

Comments have been okay-ish. But I agree it’s too early to make a verdict about this drama. And let’s be honest, not every drama can be like The First Frost, The Best Thing or even Ski Into Love (that one suffered a bit due to episode count reduction but was still mostly fun).

There is a bug with ratings for newly released dramas (or so it seems). So ignore ratings during the first week or two.

The First Frost and Love Scout pages were super nice even in the beginning. I think, MDL has (had?) a bug regarding ratings of new series so that’s why ratings appear artificially low on new dramas.

It may have been more interesting if the backstory was told in flashbacks interweaved with present day events. Similar to dramas like The First Frost and not like dramas like Lighter & Princess. But it’s been only 4 episodes so have to be patient 🧐

The Best Thing was nice. I keep my Completed list up-to-date on MDL. If you have any other suggestions, I’d appreciate it. Recommendations is how I learned about Meeting You (super nice too).

Other than your completed and in-progress dramas, I’d also suggest “You are My Lover, Friend”. It’s much, much better than the summary suggests.
