Welcome to Samdal-ri is a great example but, yes, lots of great child actors in K- and C-dramas.

At the end of the teaser employees are coming back and rejoicing, so I think she will keep running the company after dealing with this crisis. The bigger question is whether ML & FL will continue working together or if ML will switch jobs.

That pairing was so good! They even had their own special song in the drama 🎶

Yes, the story (plot) was bad according to the reviews so that is why I skipped it.

Any recommendations for good dramas with Wang Chu Ran other than “Are You the One” and “Fireworks of My Heart”? I thought about watching Have a Crush on You but read reviews/comments and decided against it (bad plot).

The author is the same which is why I asked. I am not asking which one is better (that is subjective) but more about content/setting and the feel. For example, “When I Fly…” was primarily set in high school and was very chill.

Question for those who read the original material: how does this compare to When I Fly Towards You? That is one of my all-time favorite dramas (C or K).

I am not sure we watched the same show. Is there a censored edition? :)
ML & FL dated for a few years before the breakup so there definitely was physical intimacy between them.
The other guy (hard to call him 2ML because he is so irrelevant) drove a flashy sports car and did not in any way indicate he was saving himself for FL.

You most likely will not like Motel California then. At least, in Samdal-ri there was an explanation/logic behind everything (even why ML’s dad was so against FL & FL’s family was eventually explained). Here — not so much.

P.S. I don’t remember FL in Samdal-ri screaming a lot (she was mostly depressed & dejected). Her older sister on the other hand… :)

If you haven’t watched them, check out “Welcome to Samdal-ri” (same theme but way, way better) or “The Story of Park's Marriage Contract” (same lead actress and a much better drama).

Mother-daughter chemistry between FL and ML’s kid is so nice! They look so adorable together 🥰

Previews in K-dramas are always very misleading but seems like they will resolve this by end of Episode 10.

I also hope for no ex, but someone suggested an ex could be a job seeker/candidate for a job, so there is still time for that in Episode 11 or 12.

I really like the drama overall, but the writers (or even the director) did not do a good job setting up the rescue/death. No reason for dad to rush into a burning building when there were a lot of firefighters at the scene. So many more plausible ways for “death while rescuing child ML” they could have come up with. But, presuming ML & FL can move on by end of Episode 10, we can quickly forget about that and go back to admiring the cute couple :)

FL’s dad actually is nice and did not do anything wrong. She just hates him for a reason that was not his fault (he was not cheating with ML’s mom; he was nicely helping her and could not have predicted that his wife/FL’s mom would die).
