There’s honestly not that much hate towards this drama. Even on Reddit, when someone posted something mean, 90% of responses were people going “huh? the drama is good so far”.
But it has only been two episodes, so it’s hard to judge drama quality anyway.

One of the comments literally said that IU cannot act and cannot sing 🙄 … Like, I don’t even know how to respond to that 🤯

The show has stayed around 8.3 all this time (rarely dipping into 8.2 for a bit). Most dramas start off low on MDL because of initial wave of negative reviews/ratings from haters/trolls. Personally, I don’t rate anything until it’s done ✅

Ignore the hate, it’s just noise from trolls/antis. First two episodes were very good. Even on Reddit, there was a negative thread but 90% of replies were people who liked the show so far.

Yes! On top of everything, an actor just does what a director tells them to do.

People need to get a life 🙄

I try not to visit Twitter (because of reasons like that), but maybe people are comparing IU’s character in this drama and Kim Ji Won’s character in Queen of Tears? They both play powerful female CEOs in their respective dramas.

You can’t please everyone and we all have different tastes, but I think majority of people leaving negative comments are trolls or haters. They are some people who genuinely don’t like it because it’s not their cup of tea, but they usually provide more coherent arguments other than “IU can’t act or sing”. Account blocking feature on MDL was invented to deal with trolling like that 😁

This drama will probably have a sad ending for the Evil Queen! 😁

That is, unfortunately, a pretty common occurrence with popular dramas on MDL. Early on, there is usually a flood of reviews and/or ratings that is primarily driven by haters/antis/trolls. That’s why many dramas start with low ratings (sometimes even below 8.0) and then slowly recover. This is especially true with C-dramas but K-dramas aren’t immune to that.

Any word on when/if this will be picked up by an international platform like Viki, Netflix, Disney/Hulu? MGTV is the only platform I don’t har a subscription for, lol 😆

It’s only been two episodes and I think there’s only one other very short scene. Business dealing aren’t the focus of this drama :)

Haha… it’s a good drama so far. There’s no guarantee it will stay as good, but majority of complaints thus far have been unjustified… unless this type of drama is just not someone’s cup of tea.

Oh, as an older person I totally enjoy those throwback dramas :) But you have to admit that it’s funny that so many of them are coming out at about the same time. Maybe it’s a fault of WIFTY which was set in early 2000s and got people nostalgic (well, I also heard that the government wanted them to get away from powerful boss-type of dramas).

That’s fair, everyone has different preferences and I appreciate your respectful comments. We don’t have to like the same things but too often it’s just haters/antifans who leave weird comments (to put it politely), especially on C-dramas.

The lead actress deserves another award for the wonderful job she did playing multiple roles… so she may have to attend more award ceremonies even though she’s notoriously shy ☺️

So it hasn’t been confirmed yet, correct? Because they looked at the moon and got me confused. The only moon person remotely plausible would be Lu Wu Yi 🤔

Haha… the recent K-drama trend of annoying third-wheel 2MLs is definitely much more annoying compared to, say, C-drama trend of having dramas set in 1970s/1980s/1990s 😁
