Lost respect for President Min, really you see she has a potential soft corner for her husband and you discourage…
Do some sources translate his job title as āpresidentā? Disney+ has him as āprime ministerā in English subtitles, but Iāve seen people mention āpresidentā a few times.
bad acting? what bad acting? who? where? Because I do not see it. š
There was a comment early on that literally said that IU canāt act & she canāt sing. Like⦠how do you ever argue with people like that š (I just blocked that account)
I am genuinely sad that the ratings are dropping. Sure, this might not be an absolute masterpiece deserving a…
Weād all love to see our favorite dramas get 10.1/10 on MDL, but itās important to take a breath and realize that MDL ratings mean NOTHING to the production teams, cast, crew, platforms in Korea/China/Japan/etc. They use different kinds of metrics and in this case itās very popular in Korea and is popular on Disney+. Other than downvoting clearly troll/hater reviews, not sure what we can reasonably do. Bad people will continue making new accounts and spreading hate š
This episode is exactly what I needed after a long hard week.I know it's to move the plot but I'm kinda sad the…
I know what you mean. At least it was a couple introduction scene and not their actual marriage ceremony. There was a historical drama where ML married a princess and she died a few minutes later, but it was too late to annul the marriage. So he couldnāt divorce/annul anything and was stuck as a widower š„ŗ
I hope they donāt go the noble idiocy trope route in this where they separate for each otherās good. Sheās…
We may have a situation where bad people get their hands on the marriage contract and blackmail ML into stopping his quest to become a king. Something along those lines.
1st: loving this so I don't understand the seesaw with the ratings, I thought it was going to 8.6 but it went…
In the drama, royalty has high status/prestige but no money. They are supported by the state (taxpayers) which is why prime minister oversees their affairs. Itās possible they may own some real estate assets (like palaces, homes, etc.) but they are cultural landmarks so canāt be sold anyway. So thatās why ML marrying FL is a worst case scenario for Queen Mother. Now ML has access to a lot of money and he can use those funds to get public even more on his side and mount a campaign to become a king (for example, the king is a child, letās not ruin his childhood and ML already acts as a regent anyway, so whatās the difference).
yeah donāt know why he hasnāt put that in the safe as well. Why just in the side table drawer like what?!?
Well⦠he put it in the safe now but it just gives us a hint of what might happen: best case scenario ā no one will break in and he will use that will to become the king; worst case ā they will break in, steal the contract and use it to cause trouble. But, honestly, at this point most of us except a contract marriage drama to have something like that, lol. There needs to be something exposing marriage as a sham, heroes get separated for a bit but then get back together because they truly love one another.
P.S. Iām also lowkey not sure Queen Mother was the main cause of that inferno. She might think she was at fault but it will turn out the king was dead already or that someone else was involved š¤
Marriage contact will be discovered for sure. And it will likely happen when someone breaks in to find The Document (you know what I mean) and the contract will be there
Even in C-dramas itās common to have parents like that. Thatās why I appreciate dramas where both sets of…
Iāve asked a lot of people in the comments of Our Generation about the book. It had a bit more details about his life over there but ā bottom line ā even the book didnāt have a reasonable explanation for his behavior. But other than that Inreally enjoyed OG because of its vibe. It was a bit like WIFTY x TFF⦠except the source material wasnāt as strong š

Thanks! TFF was meant to be watched with The Best Thing š They aired at almost the same time and balanced each other out (for the most part). One thing I appreciated about TFF is that they did a reasonably good job of explaining why FL left both times. Thatās a lot different than most dramas where people leave their beloved for random/unwarranted reasons. For example, I loved the mood & ambiance of āOur Generationā (and love both leads, obviously), but I just couldnāt accept the reason why ML left & ghosted FL. So in comparison to most dramas, TFF did a great job and I especially enjoyed mix of present day & flashbacks. Iām not a huge fan of when episode 1 has present day (leads meet again) then we have to watch 15-25 episodes of their past and then move back to present day.
Even the stats wonāt convince haters because they will claim the stats are made up or manipulated. Thatās…
I hope in 10 years when they announce their marriage and a birth of their child, the fandom war can stop 𤣠If only we could have situations like in āYou Are My Gloryā when both management & fans encouraged their idols to get married & were super supportive š

I certainly think itās nice for people to be passionate about something, but constant fan wars or unrest/unhappiness is hard to understand for someone who is not a local person immersed in that world. For examples, we almost didnāt have a gem that is āPursuit of Jadeā because ML & FLās management companies were bitter enemies & swore to never work together due to a prior dispute with their other clients about who gets top billing (which, apparently, is a huge thing in China because it impacts endorsements, etc.). Or there are trolls who pretend to be fans of person A when writing mean comments about person B hoping to start flame wars. People seriously need to find an outlet for their energy. Maybe then can volunteer to be script reviewers so that dramas donāt constantly recycle same annoying/tired tropes š¤£
