The arc of the bad parents was so frustrating. I want to see a kdrama someday where abusive parents get hit back both physically and psychologically for the years of trauma rather than getting off easily with some last minute reflection
break up aside, someone said it below but I need to say it again, what makes Korean writers think they need characters…
They do. But most of the major and prestigious film schools are in the US. Although a film school doesn't guarantee that you will be a filmmaker but to learn the craft US/Canada has some of the best in the world both in terms of technical filmmaking as well as film as an academic discipline. For example even japan has a very rich film culture going back to the 1930s but still in terms of film schools nothing matches the US. Major filmmaking technicians and profesors from around the world teach in the US
It’s not just her great grandfather but her grandfather (google Sorokdo incident) and the fact that she grew…
I hope people actually watched the interview. She wasn't bragging or she was not the one to bring her family at all. It was the host of the show who mentioned she came from a family of doctors and asked her about it. She politely gave a one sentence answer then the host further kept pressing on about her great grandfather. Didn't look anything like bragging or her trying to show off her family wealth like people claiming online.
lol if you hold people accountable for their ancestors, half the people on this planet will be cancelled if you…
She didn't brag about it at all. I hope you had watched the actual interview. The host kept asking her about her family history and kept forcing her to answer. Her answer was very polite and even about her great grandfather she mentioned she didn't know properly but from what she knew she said that. But people later made an issue out of it and said she dragged. She was extremely polite in the interview, people would have called her rudr if she avoided the question by the host of the show
im fine with the actress change but im not sure its cus of her acting or visual, she just doesn't suit the role…
Haven't started second season yet but the actress in the 2nd season is also quite good generally. She is known for playing strong female characters/badass. I liked her in almost all other dramas she has been in like the guest, jeongnyeon, king eternal monarch (antagonist in this one), anna, honour.
It’s not just her great grandfather but her grandfather (google Sorokdo incident) and the fact that she grew…
The British colonised half the planet and exploited a lot of people. The entire industrial revolution of the west was premised on colonialism so on that basis everything British even american since by extension it was british invasion and its entertainment industry hollywood should be cancelled. Almost all the actors, video game developers, engineers and many people in many other field should be cancelled by that logic since lot of these people's families and their countries derived benefit through centuries of exploitation and plunder. Also many other korean celebrities need to be cancelled by that logic. For example: Blackpink members come from privilege backgrounds. All of them should be cancelled then and one of its members Jisoo, her brother was involved in bullying incident so by the same logic why haven't they been cancelled yet?? Same way you can find n number of other korean actors, entertainers etc who will have some sort of dirty laundry in their closet or someone in their family, friend circle or their ancestors for that matter since most come from privileged backgrounds
This is the situation of another privileged kid who is out of touch with reality and probably didn’t even think…
lol if you hold people accountable for their ancestors, half the people on this planet will be cancelled if you back tracing historical roots of everyone 😂
Sad that she is being cancelled for something she has no control over or even liable for. Her great great grandfather, more than 100 years have passed and now holding her accountable for it is ridiculous. I was looking forward to seeing her in more dramas. If everyone had to face backlash for something related to their ancestors, half the people on this planet would be cancelled. Stupid dumb people. I wonder if politicians and people who weild real power are held to this standard of scrutiny and accountability as people in the entertainment industry are held to
For a change it was refreshing to watch a rom-com kdrama without any love triangle, misunderstandings, noble idiocy, breakup and separation midway or in the penultimate episode, toxic friend and all of such tropes that are frustrating most times. It's a light fun stress free rom-com
Not bad but not good. The first season had an eerie mysterious chilling vibe right from the first episode and it kept the tension throughout the drama but the second season doesn't have that atmosphere nor does it feel eerie or chilling in any way. It shouldn't have been title as save me. If it was its own thing without the banner of save me would have expected less and then might have properly enjoyed it more. Only positive compared to the first Save Me is this one had a longer conclusion i.e. the lives of the people involved after the end of the crisis/issue almost an hour long episode of conclusion whereas the first save me didn't spend much time with the character after the climax
It was great until they decided to not show us the exact consequence of the main antagonist after hyping him up so much throughout the drama. Didn't have that cathartic end to it

Although I could predict where it was going since the character of lee gang seemed like a psycho from the first episode
