The robes/costume are so beautiful I didn't put my whole attention to it when I watched this at first but I really really love how it looks so high quality. The whole 2160P resolution is such a premium experience 😻
I wish I hadn’t watched this — ever since I finished this cdrama, I’ve never been able to finish any other drama ಠ_ಠ. Rewatching E21, 40:12, and I love this scene so much. It feels even more heartbreaking because of the plot twist at the end
Im only at E4 while commenting this but this drama revolves around the imperial palace and thpugh i am not that knowledgeable, you will obviously see LOTS of red in imperial palace bcs it kinda symbolize a lot of things (eg. wealth, fortune, cosmic alignment). Also not bcs she was naive abt some things (trusting xie xun, who acted very kind to her leading her to be manipulated and also she just wanted to go to capital bcs she was oblivious) doesn't mean she is completely naive because since the beginning she knows how to scrutinize
Just letting this drama marinate and wtf.. 😢 my cdl's beautiful voice was dubbed?! One thing I love abt cdl is how she delivers her line and her voice, it's not pitchy unlike 9 out of 10 actresses, it's so calm. Im truly devastated 😔
Hated this review and looked at your other review and Istg I love that review of yours in pursuit of jade, I was actually quite enjoying it and then they gave that... And the betrayal, I thought he would at least give her some word of affirmation or whatever after kissing her but like he just assaulted her and then ran away. Leaving her crying in the corner ಠ_ʖಠ
GJM likes casting the same actors, there are plenty of examples from his shows—not just Tian Jiarui, especially from his own entertainment company called ZUI. Like seriously, why am I not seeing people say this about Chen Duling when she is also in the dramas where TJR is in? It’s unfair, it’s double standard, and it needs to be called out.
And for the record, TJR's acting is very polished. He has performed in over 400 stage plays in 3 years and played difficult roles like Juror No.7 in 'Twelve Citizens'—where there are no cuts, no retakes, and no mics. He clearly built his skills properly before coming to TV, so he deserves his opportunities.
nepo Baby = Success because of PARENTS/FAMILY NAME. Tian Jiarui = Success because of COMPANY & HARD WORK.
So please stfu, he just started acting in TV shows in 2023 and only been in 3 shows. Also, there was even a director who delayed their entire show just to wait for Tian Jiarui because they wanted him specifically. That alone speaks volumes about his value and skill!
Umm thanks for your concern on my lack of attention, you’re quite right! ADHD kinda does that to a person. The…
I agree with you that the show's ending was rushed, I was actually quite disappointed with it.
And I understand where you're coming from and I respect your opinion. However, I can't help but feel like this commentary came from someone who didn't really watch attentively to understand the story. As a fan of the show, seeing it rated and reviewed like this seems really unfair, so I know I might come off as rude or toxic... but I'm just being honest.
This review felt like it was 99% just bashing. It’s quite hypocritical to give it a low rating when you literally admitted yourself that it might be a 'YOU problem' and not the show's problem. It’s like trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing and saying 'This picture makes no sense' instead of admitting 'I didn't bother looking for the rest of them.'
Guys wake up the trendsetter joined the trend!!
