I don’t think it was a dream. she was either in a parallel universe or dealt with butterfly effect. Parallel universe explain it, cause she was herself just different form and she was looking for her biological parents in the universe in one episode.

I think 36 episodes was good for the drama. we are able to see character growth with FL and her toxic family. Hongxia changed for the better and it was hilarious when she was hitting Junbao(Ziyu) younger brother.

completed the drama and the ending was satisfying. I guess Daddy Du ending was left open and the Xia family probably changed for the better, but the scene of granny Xia pointing at the screen at Xiaolan was typical, but funny. I don’t think it was a dream cause of the promise being kept at the end. Rated it 10/10 😄

I agree, daddy Yu was the one who killed granny Yi’s son family, therefore, he shouldn’t of survive the coma or attempted murder by Xia Ziyu. I can’t believe they didn’t give him a full closure at the end.

wow! just completed episode 33 and that ending was a shocker. Dajun was a loser and kinda felt bad for granny Xia at the end, even though she was toxic. that face she made at HongXia was funny though 🤣

it’s a very slow burn drama, since all of them are child hood friends in the drama. ML fell in love first, but his bestie(SML) also likes the FL.

ML is slaying it, along with FL. there’s a funny scene in episode 5 when FL asked him why does he smile all the time. He responded with being born that way 🤣

so the toxic granny, granny Xia from dream of golden years plays a support role here too. is her character terrible here too?

Are we watching the same drama? Xiaocen isn’t a strong FL, she is slow and weak. She even stated it to the ML(Xu Xiao) that she’s slow at everything. I think she isn’t the smartest person at all.

I don’t think China has a total ban on time travel drama. It’s heavily regulated and script writers can try to rewrite time travel as a “dream” or parallel universe to bypass censorship.
