Honestly, they need to stop making main characters like this female lead in Kdramas. We just saw this in the tiktok drama this summer, I Turned Pretty, where the female lead goes back and forth between guys. Now, it feels like many recent Kdramas are trying to establish the same type of story. But most Kdrama watchers have rejected this kind of storyline. If we wanted that storyline, we could’ve just watched the English version. Instead, we’re squinting at subtitles because we came here for something different

Not a fan of dramas where the female lead goes back and forth between two male leads like a shuttlecock. It just ends up making the male lead look a cuck. There’s already another drama doing the same thing.
I know every show has its audience and some people call it mature whenever there’s even a hint of two-timing.

Hu Xiu might be my favorite female character ever from this type of dramas. She’s so mature for a romance drama yet she’s not preachy. She doesn’t run away from problems but she’s also not boring or overly serious. I love how she always shut SML up. When the male lead dodged her kiss, she didn’t run to SML to make him jealous, even though she could have and when everything came out, she never blamed the male lead. In most dramas, even after the main couple starts dating, the female lead still keeps a friendly relationship with SML knowing he likes her but she didn’t try that when they weren’t even together. I’m honestly surprised to see such a perfect female lead in a romance drama
