It's because it effectively finishes around ep33, but it seems they had a big enough budget to go wrap up every.single.loose.end. (Personally, I dont think the Longest Ending in 2025 Chinese Drama History is a bad thing.) The ratings really depends on if you're one of those people who wants to know what happened to everyone, or if you happen to enjoy that latest trend of 5mins ending that's happening with every other drama.
Four episode climax to end was a bit long, but kudos to the production crew for trying something different instead of a fast 5 mins ending like every other show.
Wow.. there's a small part of me that's super super proud to see Gu Xiang all grown up. :) I think I'm enjoying it a lot more than the others here mostly because I came here with zero expectations. No that's probably not true - I started watching mostly because the first thought was "at least it's not angelabb". Low bar I know.
