This was a fun watch, I went straight to this mini drama after watching No Gain No Love just for the second lead couple. The only reason I'd rate this a 9/10 is because it's too short, I want to see the leads more. This reminds me a lot of Splash Splash Love, it's also a mini drama but definitely worth the watch. Lee Sang Yi proved himself in this drama that he is capable of being a male lead. Please give this man a lead role in a full drama, he deserves it. That post credit scene with him singing is such a surprise for me, I didn't know he can sing and has a beautiful voice. It's making me fall in love with him even more.

I'm just scrolling through this page and saw this comment, finally someone notices it, i thought i was the only one who saw Ji Chang Wook in him. Honestly, I'm kind of curious if he could take on roles in action movies or action dramas like K2, i would live to see him doing action scenes.

i think you got the whole point of Yan Ke's character wrong. He's a man in love but also a man blinded by his greed for power. If you think Duan Xu's character is annoying because of his recklessness and ignorance, you also did not understand his character at all. He is a man who lives in the present. He values every bit of his time as he should because he is only MORTAL. He knows that all his actions have repercussions, but despite knowing that, he will still do what he had decided to do. That isn't recklessness or selfishness, that is a decisive man willing to do everything for his love against all odds. Now the difference with Yan Ke is that he is delusional. Just because you poured your heart to a person, doesn't make you entitled to be loved in return. He already had 300 years with He Simu and within that period of time, if a woman still doesn't like you, get over it. Not make your problem becomes everyone's problem. In fact Yan Ke is the annoying one, he maybe one of the SML that I really don't have the heart to like. He has been given a little bit of redemption in the end but that doesn't remove the fact that he is the cause of almost all of the problems in the series. I think you just don't like Duan Xu as a character, admit it. Do not twist facts saying Yan Ke is a better man like please, just say you like a delusional man who will hurt the woman he loves just because his love isn't reciprocated.

It's been 2 weeks since i started this. I haven't been able to binge this because I was so busy so it took me too long to finally finish this. It has some flaws in it but because the first couple of episodes really made an everlasting good impression on me, the draggy parts in the middle up to end really didn't bother me that much. It could've been a perfect show in my opinion, if it had just maintained the pacing it had in the first 10 eps and also they should've not lost the focus of the story with the mystery of the Deliverance and the exchanging of five senses. But overall it's a 9/10 for me, it's still a great show, just not perfect.

Honestly I'm glad I didn't binge watched this because I'm currently rewatching this w my mom and you can really notice the pacing slowed down in the middle part if you watch the entire thing on one single sitting. but when i was watching this, i was watching it only when i have time, so i really enjoyed every moment of it. I especially love how the world building became bigger when they introduced the Void World. I love when series takes their time to tell a beautifully crafted story. Maybe that's why i was never bored watching this.

don't force yourself if you're really not feeling it anymore. it's ok to drop it and move on. thankfully i find myself still entertained so far so I'll keep watching.

not exactly pertaining to the acting of his female leads, they are all good as i can tell. I'm referring to the case in which most of his roles are this stoic and calm type so most of his female leads are opposite that character type, to balance it. I'm just saying this because i just finished ERL, the fl can act, but I guess its the script and the way they made her character that really sabotaged the story. both of them in that drama felt so distant and cold despite all the sweet scenes they had. I hope he picks better scripts in the future. a bad script, no matter how good the actor is will make the drama fail.

i enjoyed this in the couple first episodes. I really like how much of a green flag Gan Yang is and I actually really like Dong Zhitong too. but then after a few days i paused because the story in the middle part is really testing my patience. I didn't want to drop it because I want to see how it ends and I really like to see Arthur as Gan Yang more. Now that I've finally finished this, to be completely and brutally honest, it's not worth watching. I just got curious and want to watch more Arthur Chen dramas.

one thing I've observed having watched almost all his dramas, (except for Lighter and Princess I'm saving the best for last and currently watching Love Beyothe Grave, it's so good so far) he has the most chemistry with female leads who have the energy of the sun. his visuals and aura are reminiscent to the moon, cold but enchanting. he has to be paired with a female leads who's aura shines so bright that will compliment his moon-like glow. Well it's just my opinion, overall he looks good no matter what style and I love that about him. I'm looking forward to watch more of his dramas.

people really have different tastes. I saw many criticisms about this drama, especially about the main leads' chemistry which they say is lacking.But now that I've watched it, it's the opposite for me. The main leads are oozing with hot chemistry. Contrary to what other people say, the age gap didn't bother me at all as it's appropriate for the characters they play. The tone is also dark and mystical, unlike most chinese dramas I've watched which are more flashy and magical, but I like this one better, it leans more towards kdrama vibes especially how the Osts are used to make each scene more impactful and heartfelt. Ep 1 has really hooked me, it has a promising start, I hope it won't fall off in the later parts.

it's the last drama on my watchlist if Chen Feiyu dramas, so I'll definitely watch this. I watched the long ballad before and i like Dilreba she's really beautiful, I'm excited to see her here with Chen Feiyu

I dropped this midway but i got back to it and was able to finish it for the leads. Honestly the story is magnificent at the first part but just went downhill for some reason in the middle part. Maybe it's just my taste i don't know. But I'm definitely gonna rewatch this a lot of times just for the main leads.

Never thought i would love this type of story. Not gonna lie, i thought dramas like this are too realistic for me, therefore not my kind of entertainment. but my god, this made me realize that a simple but real love story is sometimes better than a fantasy. all characters are well written even the villains are working over time. The main couple is definitely in my list of best couples in dramas like My Dearesr and Prisoner of Beauty. I've heard When life gives you tangerines is similar to this, but i haven't found my motivation to watch that yet. I was only able to start this because of Chen Feiyu and ended up loving it. I hope the leads get more recognition, they are far too underrated in my opinion.

I'll save this for last of watching Chen Feiyu's dramas. I've started When destiny brings the demon and got hooked with his god tier aura and visuals. I already watched Evernight, Love story in the 1970s, and currently watching Eat run love. Next on my watchlist is lighter and princess then this. I've read so many bad reviews abt this drama, but my tastes are different so i hope i end up liking this one.

why compare? the ratings does not mean better, it just means more people enjoyed it, and thts fine. Personally I can't get past ep 1 of LLTG, plot is good, excellent actress, not so sure abt the ml but the drama is just not clicking for me. so fair enough, not because you think its better does not mean everyone shld also think the way you do.

i think i only watched 20% of this drama for the small screen time Liu Yuning has. I think the story is not bad but its just wasn't my taste. Overall i enjoyed all scenes of Liu Yuning here so it's worth the watch despite skipping most of the story. I hope he acts in more modern dramas, for me this is most handsome role❤️
