Triage...
I will NOT forgive myself for putting Triage on my watchlist for this long!! I missed out on a lot! 😭
I mean, I was already expecting this to be good since I love the other series built in the same universe, Manner of Death and Spare Me Your Mercy. But Triage is built differently because this time, we have a fantasy time-loop concept as the main plot.
At first, I really thought it was just about Dr. Tin trying to save Tol, but it was SO much more than that. I love dark series like this. And honestly, what are the chances that some of the crimes happening here could also happen in real life? Very big possibility. 😭
I also love that the series isn’t heavily focused on their love story. The romance is there, but the main focus is really the mystery and the whole situation they’re trying to solve. That made me more invested because I wanted to know how they were going to break this cycle and finally end the whole agony they were in.
You might notice some flaws in the overall plot, but honestly, I somehow brushed those off because I was too excited to find out what would happen next. The time-loop concept kept me hooked because every time you think they’re finally getting somewhere, something else happens and you’re back to questioning everything again.
And of course, I loved the MaxTul cameo!! At least they appeared as their Manner of Death characters, which was such a good touch and made the connection between the series even more satisfying. 🥹
But my biggest highlight would be Tonnam. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS THE SAME Tonnam who played Chuay in LUAT. 😭 Such a completely different person here! I was genuinely impressed seeing him in this role. Dr. Sing... well, I had a big crush on him throughout the entire series. HAHAHAHA. 😂
Overall, Triage was definitely one of those series where I kept asking myself, “Why did I wait this long to watch this?!” It has mystery, crime, time loops, dark themes, and just enough romance without letting the romance take over the whole story.
Definitely one of those series I’m glad I finally crossed off my watchlist.
