The writers will boost his evilness really quickly and for no reason. Fear of losing FL ? Another obsessive 2ML.
Agree. I won't forget his arrogance in the market. Mao can tell the fundraiser to stop and return the donations, but no. He chooses violence and orders the guard to smash that place. Even Wu Yi is stunned by his friend's action.

Yep, he can have all women in the world, I mean in the empire. Why stuck with one and only Jia Yu? π€π I were him, I would secure that throne to be mine, too.
Liking it so far, but itβs driving me crazy that half the trouble couldβve been avoided if they (the three…
You need to remember who cause this miscommunication: the grand tutor. What a naughty man. He spreads false facts about Wu Yi to Jia Yu and Mao. π€ Therefore, they're executing their own plans. Meanwhile, Wu Yi is comfortable of protecting the empire with only his comrades' help. ππ
Phew~ Good. They air two episodes a day for the first week airing. Now, I'm worried about the second week. Please, not an episode a day before express. https://mydramalist.com/photos/YYPvje_3

Actually, Mao lost Jia Yu the second he agreed to be a regent. The thing that drives him to be evil is larger than that. He doesn't want to lose the power in his handβthe prospect of being the next in line for the throne.
When he's the emperor, he has a power to marry whoever he wants, well, including Jia Yu.

Oh, I love her advice to her daughter! *chef's kiss
Peter Ho's acting is also good. I'm doing my best not to hate him here because I love him and watch some of his past dramas long ago. π Summer's Desire is my favorite, but I only love his scenes and when he is with Barbie Hsu. π
Autumn in My Heart!
I skip those scenes, too. Well, Coroner's Diary is a modernized historical drama. There's no way a couple kiss in public in that era. I roll my eyes at that scene.

The comment means the ignorant people feel awful about us, this drama viewers. Of course, we don't feel awful. We love this drama.
Yes!! I love Jia Yu and her mother look alike. Now, I miss Princess Yun Zhao on my screen.
I'm thinking to watch dramas about teenage female lead only if it casts a real teenager. Ai Mi's acting feels natural because she's close to FL's age. The reason I love historical drama is it has less to non acts of physical intimacy. They focus in emotional bond.
Oh. You remind me of K-dramas that makes me cry so much: Winter Sonata. They have no passionate kiss, but I can feel their deep feelings toward each other.
Ok after watching eps 12 I have three new opinions (one clearly more extensive than the rest π)1. Allat to…
2. Wu Yi wasn't mad at her for doing whatever she wanted to help her friend for a reason. I guess Jia Yu had her own agenda was a good thing because she was distracting the enemy's attention, in my opinion. Therefore, Wu Yi could stealthily execute his hidden plan.
It is already day 4 airing. More and more viewers who have watched the drama seem to be in sync with Cnetz and…

Li Mao won't lose Jia Yu if only he asks Wu Yi to help him with his sister's political marriage. Wu Yi's method is way better than Huai Gui's or Jia Yu's plan. Unfortunately, he asks his master's help. π€¦π»ββοΈ

Yep, he's acting is good here. A loving father turns into a scheming grand tutor.
