I wrote my opinion about the FL's character in my notes after completing the drama, and we share the same view about her. It baffles me that the writers make her know-it-all and be-it-all. She can cook, sewing, cure, heal, paint, draw, read astrology, martial arts, accounting, playing music instrument, you name it. How can someone so young can do it all?

Do you binge-watch the drama? It's too heavy to watch some episodes in one go. Try watch 2 or 3 episodes, take a break, and watch another episode might help.

The building was sealed off for investigation. There was no way they didn't check Ye Li's and Ling Yun's seats in that crime scene. Moreover, the cushion seat might be fall off when they carry Ye Li to the prison.

A Princess' murder was a capital offense. They should have searched the crime scene carefully and thoroughly because they needed it to explain the progress of the investigation to Cang Bei's envoy.

It was hard to believe no one saw or found the edict in the crime scene, let alone it safely returned to Ye Li.

It was a plot hole, just like Ye Li hid the edict under the seat cushion in the crime scene after Princess of Can Bei's murder, but the edict was miraculously return to her.

Honestly, I feel the same for the first episodes. So, I can relate. What encouragement me to keep watching is I want to know what happen with Li Shan Academy. However, they take a long way to get there. When I'm almost there, the preview disappoints me (I rarely peek at the previews, but I can't take it anymore). I want to give this drama the last chance because I know preview is always misleading.

If you have a reason to watch the drama—Bai Lu is a good reason because her character gets all the plot armor, keep going. If you don't, it's better to find another drama that entertain you. You can always pick this drama when you're in the mood for this kind of pace.
