Up to this point, the drama is still really good. One thing I find hilarious is that when I scroll through Korean discussions about the show, I see people complaining that it focuses too much on the theme of ‘women with families.’ Like… that’s literally what the drama has been about from the very beginning. And then some of them just focus on the male lead’s appearance and acting. No wonder South Korea has one of the highest rates of cosmetic procedures in the world.

What exactly do you mean by “a serious decline”? Or is that just your subjective take, buddy? Even if the industry is supposedly “declining,” there are still plenty of shows that rank highly in ratings and generate a lot of buzz. And there are tons of shows without a loveline every year. If a show has a slight romance element, how does that affect the plot? What kind of argument is that? And as for niche markets, how on earth are they supposed to generate that much profit?

Don’t blame the romantic element again, dude. It has nothing to do with it. There were plenty of chaebol thrillers last year too. You just didn’t do your research and then started complaining.

In Korea, the drama’s ratings are actually pretty good and it’s been well received, basically because it stays true to the original as a rom-com. Like, guys, please watch the teaser and check the tags before watching the drama, okay? The original was a rom-com, not some crime-solving/mystery drama. If they shove a whole investigation plot into it, wouldn’t the ending just end up feeling ridiculously rushed and crammed?
