extacly, i mean in terms of the romance i get it, it's very slow ... but the plot is really really good even somepeople saying better than the orignal novel ... the naritive of it honestly the BEST thing ... like i think this is the first time i saw it done that good, to have an actual adaption drama clearly conveying the work of "FL POV" is turly done well ...

he 's not even Bailu level famous, he has like 5M follower on weibo while ZLH have 19 M and bailu herself 32M clearly they don't need his fans for popularity ... he got that role becuase he was fit for it .. and the best fit for that role i can't imagin actors palying strong shy ML while still not outshine the smart FL character ... which is extaclty what Mo Li needed since it's centered toward the FL pov
