What’s funny is your statement. The average viewer of this drama from the countries you mentioned has no sentimental…
This isn’t a historical drama though. It was never based on fact. It’s an alternate reality so there doesn’t need to be any sort of outrage over inaccuracies when the whole drama was inaccurate to begin with. That’s the ridiculous part. This wasn’t the most amazing drama, filled with tropes and plot hole. But it doesn’t deserve the weird misdirected anger. It’s not that deep.
I wonder that too? Maybe his birth parents became destitute because he stole the company so they couldn't care…
I think the chairman had Baek Hos parents killed and he thought Baek Ho died with them. Otherwise he’d be paranoid the parents or their kid would eventually come after him.
Aha! The birth ‘secret’ of Baeky is slowly beginning to surface. The crest is linked to the Ma’s household,…
Seriously his obsession is so boring! Every single conversation they have with him is exactly the same. The writers need to give him something else to do.
This series is incredibly hard to watch because it is so realistic. Well done though. If you need your drama wrapped up in a pretty bow in order to like it, this won’t be for you. This is dark, stressful and makes you angry.
I thought that he meant Joo In Ah loves the company much more & he can’t match her dedication.
I keep seeing people say he was choosing her over the company with that line, but I was with you on it. So I rewatched that sceen and my subtitles said “I’ve never cared about this company the way she does.”. So unless he said it again another time or the subtitles are different for everyone, he’s talking about her dedication and not their relationship.
Am I the only one who feels like this drama is being dragged down by the 2nd leads and their stories? I don’t care about either of them. For only a 12 episode drama I feel like this would have been better if the writers focused on the leads trying to navigate a relationship while investigating office affairs. Leave the drama with the 2nd leads out completely.
It depends on the corporate rules. Some corporate allows work place relationship as long as not married. Once…
Corporate rules. You’re using corporate rules and saying it’s fine because both are single. But that doesn’t apply to boss/ employee relationships. Those create a power imbalance and could be seen as risk. Everything between them will be judged harshly by everyone they work with. I’ve worked one of the 5 largest banks in the USA for over 25 years. Power imbalance relationships are frowned upon. Everyone else is fine.

If they were regular coworkers it would be fine. However, it’s the power imbalance that can or even should cause problems. Shes his boss and anyone from their workplace would rightfully question their relationship.
Don’t let the comment below mine deter you. They couldn’t be more wrong. The FL was by far one of the smartest and most capable characters I’ve seen in this type of drama. The leads were really fun to watch.
how can 1ML, a pretty good actor and 2ML with huge charisma toact in such a weak drama... everything feels forced,…
I felt the same way and I continued. But now I think I should have dropped it. I’ll finish because there’s only 2 episodes left but this drama just isn’t interesting.
Hahahaha Jun Ho was hilarious this episode. I laughed out loud so many times at his facial expressions. Like dude, Seo Rin or not, you still can’t force her to marry you!
Tomorrows episode looks entertaining too. I hope we get a few more episodes of comedy before the writers start beating a dead horse again.
