Very different from Hidden Love as a vibe, but similar in that it's very main couple focused and not much "plot"…
I had a hard time really getting into the high school parts of the story, but I completely get the necessity of it, and they did a good job portraying an unreciprocated high school crush. I don’t know if I would be appreciating the college years as much if they didn’t take time developing their history. I’m on episode 13 now and things are certainly developing - they’re circling around each other at this point, and that circle is getting smaller. It’s cute. I don’t think I like it as much as TFF, as it’s a little hard for me to watch the ongoing non-communication, miscommunications and deflections, even if it makes sense for the leads. It just isn’t my style of story, but it’s cute. I know that communication was slow in TFF as well, but the entire story didn’t center around it and highlight it like it does with HL. I think I gravitate a bit more to TFF, but that isn’t to say that I’m not enjoying this one. And it’s GREAT seeing CZY in a different role. His character is wonderful in this one- I really really love the ML.

I’m five episodes into Hidden Love and struggling a little bit. They’re super cute, but I’m ready for her to be a grown up now lol. I get that they need to set the foundation for their romance, but yeeeaaahhh I’m ready for the adult stuff.
I feel that FL acts pretty unreasonable sometimes? Like I get that she's mad she had to disband the Cui army and…
I really really really disliked parts of the FL, and dropped my rating a couple points only because of her. I hated how she blamed the ML after pushing him to become the Crown Prince and punished him for her army getting disbanded. There were a couple times I really struggled with her.
I love this drama. I need recommendations of dramas with this level of intimacy and chemistry between the leads.…
The Prisoner of Beauty is my favorite, but the intimacy is a slow burn. ❤️🔥I am about due for a rewatch. You might like Fated Hearts if you like the ML of WDBtD. It’s an enemies to lovers trope, but the main leads are up there with TPoB for my favorite couples. If what you’re prioritizing the most is the skinship - Wonderland of Love, General’s Lady and Love by Hypnotic have a lot of it. 😊
So I get what you’re saying, but I don’t see the ML that way. They fill in more gaps about their history as…
She would have been shy and embarrassed even if he didn’t make jokes about it 🤷🏼♀️ I think his approach was the best way to reduce the shame. If he didn’t keep it light and frame it in a way to keep her in the driver’s seat, I imagine that she would have felt worse.
Moonlight Mystique (same actor for ML). There’s also The Prisoner of Beauty, but it takes them a bit to catch…
It is! I don’t do sad endings. If you liked the enemies to lovers trop with TPoB, then you can also check out Fated Hearts. It’s more of an enemies to lovers than TPoB, and the first three episodes are brutal with them being enemies before the respect and love for each other grows. They’re also a powerhouse couple and one of my faves.
Never saw Ashes of Love because I detest love triangles 😅 Also heard there’s a lot of drama around miscommunication,…
How bad is the love triangle and miscommunications / secrets for people who hate those tropes? For reference, I dropped Love in the Clouds for those reasons, but mainly for the not communicating
