Ok so maybe I missed something, but the SFL stepped on a tile on the floor and she and the SML found the chamber where the emperor was being held captive. With regard to my first complaint, it doesn’t matter if she wanted Jin An and didn’t like DAD. The reality is that the prince WAS Jin An, and on some level he had the right to know about what happened to him the past year. The FL spent the last few episodes kinda flirting with him, trying to do things to remind him of Jin An such as playing the instrument. She gave him the sweet eyes and told him that his visits made her happy because he looked like him. She treated him endearingly. Now to suddenly switch on him to blatantly lying to his face about who he was… He had a right to know. Whether or not he would believe it doesn’t matter. Her NOT telling him information that directly impacts his life, and then lying to him robbed him of his autonomy and right to choose what to do with the information about himself. I think that I can have some valid negative feelings about that 😂

Arthurrrrr 🤌🏻 🔥 Yep. If you can see past the FL, Arthur is a delight to watch in this one.

Hahahaha I loved her 🤣She just wants to eat, drink and get good sleep. She gets good development as well, but yeah. Not for everyone 😊

Yeah I mean the CGI is iffy sometimes, but for those of us who watch shows primarily for the romance and less for the plot, WDBtD is a feast. The main leads have sooo much screen time, LOTS of steamy kisses and chemistry, skinship, etc. There’s also no love triangles, there is open / transparent communication throughout, mutual understanding and some badassery and angst that isn’t terrible. I loved it so so much.

Yup! It’s my favorite show alongside The Prisoner of Beauty.

Yeah I remember the different subplots in this show resolving rather quickly. I told someone else in a different thread that there wasn’t an amesia plot in this one. Oops. 😬

If the FL had just freaking told him the truth about him being Jin An when he directly asked her after seeing the rubbings in his room, then maybe he wouldn’t be humiliated and put on the spot by that evil bitch in front of everyone? God, whyyyyy couldn’t you guys have written the last few episodes a little better? Whyyyyy do you depend on lies and deception and keeping secrets for the nonsense drama when it just doesn’t make sense? He asked you directly who you were and if he was Jin An 🤦🏼‍♀️I get that he was being a dick about it, but why the hell would you deflect and then lie to him directly? Fastforward now and the evil bitch is calling the ML out for the shit he didn’t remember doing and humiliating him in front of everyone? Maybe if you had effing told him the truth he could have come up with a plan? smh And also, who puts the switch to a very secret underground chamber AS A LARGE TILE ON THE FLOOR for anyone to accidentally step on and discover? 🤦🏼‍♀️

Episode 35 (still complaining) —

Ahh yeah. I liked this one primarily for the leads and their relationship. I read through some comments early on and others have said in the novel the FL was depicted as very petite. It did kinda become a matter of suspending your disbelief that no one else saw through her disguise 😂 I also had similar thoughts about her cuteness and reconciling that with how she’s supposed to be this legendary badass general… but she’s acting cute? 🤷🏼‍♀️ Some of the more serious scenes show the general side of her more, but I see what you mean. The villains were kinda dumb in this one, too.

BEST SCENE EVER 🔥 I rewatch that scene occasionally! The music, the effects, all of it.

Did he lose his memory? 😂 I don’t remember that part. I am assuming it doesn’t last long, as I truly don’t even recall that happening.

They get married in episode 34, I believe, but it is not a happy event. I don’t remember getting the same vibes about their romance as you are currently, but I do remember they are competitive rivals in the beginning part of the show. I think it does develop into more of the sweeter romance…. but if you don’t like the FL now you probably will hate her later on. I liked the FL to begin with, but really disliked a couple of her choices in the later part of the show that ultimately caused me to lower my rating of it.

Ok ok ok hear me out - it would be a shame to toss such a great show and miss out on some great scenes. I knew going into this what was gonna happen, so what I initially did was I stopped watching at the end of 18 or maybe partway through episode 19 because things were good with the main leads. I took a loooong break and finished the rest of the show much later. So I would recommend that if you don’t care as much about the plot but love the actress who plays FL to drop it at the end of 18. And if you never finish then at least you get some good stuff instead of missing out 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am keeping an eye on this drama and waiting to see how it ends and what the deal is with love triangles. I gotta say, though, that I’m thoroughly enjoying the comments section 🤣 You guys are wild
