It was ok

It was fine. A great way to pass the time by. The cinematography was ok. It didn’t quite feel like they were running on few actors, lol. But what did bother me was the lack of info about certain things in the movie. Too many plot wholes. I get the message and what they intended with the story, but the execution was meh.

SPOILER:
They didn’t talk about why the ml was sick. Judging from the beanie, he seemed like he had cancer. Or something that would be terminal at most because why was he practically living in the hospital that his mom let fl stay in his room?

Also fl’s background wasn’t talked about. Like why was she bullied when she came from Seoul? Isn’t it usually the other way around? Lol, if her family moved in the village, why did she stay at ml’s house?

Oh, wait. I remember a pic that fell during the last part of the series. Maybe they were childhood friends?

Although I did like how we were shown a ‘what if the bff lived’ scenario at the final part of the series. Just kinda worried about the ml’s health though because it was left kind of an open ending.

(lmao, congrats. you just read my thought process)

Wasted Potential

This is like “Love The Way You Are” but darker, no Eva getting fat, but with deaths involved. More heavy on crime and politics.
Both has:
1. FL named EVA.
2. EVA is an actress.
3. ML is a handsome chef.
4. Handsome chef helps her out with her diet.

What I hated:
1. I swear they had every potential to lengthen this series cause like you can fill in traditional ‘makjang’ (idk how you call it in thai series). ML didn’t have a full fleshed background. Everybody does. Like why did ML’s family die? They could’ve made it so he was actually a rich person and his family died cause of the ex-bf’s grandma. Why is the family so controlled by the grandma? What happened to the 1st and 2nd wife?
2. I swear at some point I was expecting ML was the third son or something cause 9 episodes in and we still don’t have proper romance from the main leads. It made me feel like there was more and that after the reveal will help them with defeating the villain. So I was surprised to see it only had 14 episodes.
3. Aside from that, they’re too one dimensional. ML just wants to be a chef and FL wants to be a successful actress. Idk, I wish we could’ve explored more to the story cause they could’ve easily made this a 24-episode one.
4. Also Domino died but we don’t see her family’s reaction.
5. They liked to put unnecessary arguments just to move the plot. Eva and Pun literally argued for no reason at all just so Pun can feel bad later on when he realized she was being threatened. So out of his character when he was introduced as a calm and gentleman guy.

What I liked:
1. Everyone was smart.
>The villains, I genuinely got scared for them because this problem with the politicians are an ongoing problem. Even here in my country. So seeing this fleshed out gave me a new perspective for the some actors and actresses that get dragged into politics.
> I swear I thought Jimmy’s wife was gonna snitch. But she’s smart and she didn’t share Eva and Pun’s location. She just did after their consent. Such a good girl.
> Book was also smart. She knew she may be targeted after Jinny’s death so she sent evidence first before meeting up. Thanks to her, Eva got out of Wee’s grasp. Super smart to meet up at the parking lot too.
> Pun didn’t meddle with other’s business. Serious survival instincts there.
> They didn’t need money and power to defeat the villains. Just relied on their brains and that was satisfying.

2. Pun is such a green flag. Total contrast to Wee’s controlling side, Pun is very gentle with Eva. I swear it made my heart flutter. He was very respectful, always listened to Eva, encouraged her, and made her safe. I feel like he’s such a husband material. It’s just so sad that his background isn’t really tackled so we don’t really understand him as a person.
3. Pun and Eva CAN KISS😭 I was so happy to finally see thai actors that can kiss. I only watched a handful of lakorn and I always felt like their kissing scenes are lacking, Like you made me wait for many episodes only to see them awkwardly kiss after that?😭
4. The SHALL WE was the cherry on top, lol. It was a great foreshadowing to when they actually sleep together. I was honestly so surprised cause I thought he meant to eat. Well, they certainly ‘ate’😭

Overall, I feel like Pun and Eva’s visuals are such a match. Their chemistry was good. I hope to see them again soon and with a better plot than this one.
