ep 6 30:35 : did seolah just confess to starting the fire in her parent’s house?
yes, the parents were trying to kill themselves, they swallowed pesticides and were probably already dying, maybe they would’ve died even without the fire. but the fire is what killed them for sure. in that case, isn’t seolah responsible for their deaths?
yes, she was planning to commit suicide and die along with her parents. but she didn’t die. meaning that she directly or indirectly caused their deaths. how is she not being tagged as a murderer or having any repercussions for what she did? why is wooseok just saying “the world was so cruel that even a child wanted to end her life” and calling it a day? I’m so confused lol.
actually really liked this !!! it’s the little details that get me honestly.. and i have the biggest soft spot…
I’ve actually been considering watching this, but the comments and reviews are making me skeptical.
Was the acting good? I am not a fan of over the top acting. What were some things you liked and disliked aside from the kisses? Mild spoilers are fine too ^_^
this was so beautiful! deserves a higher rating imho :(
absolutely love the cinematography. the rooftop scenes were breathtaking! the story was very beautiful and heartwarming too.
however, i found hayakawa’s character quite frustrating. he did multiple things that i couldn’t quite ignore. if it weren’t for all that, i probably would’ve liked the drama a lot more.
I certainly do NOT like that "tutor" guy. What's his deal? How much older is he than Akira? Why is Akira…
he’s probably like 5-10 years older given that he’s Akira’s brother’s friend. he’s giving me the ick. bro, go date someone your age instead of your friend’s brother who’s literally a high schooler😭 i wonder why akira is with him:(
I saw him in Therapy Game yesterday while binging the drama. Today I started watching Contrast not knowing he’s in the cast there too, such a coincidence !
It was lovely to see him as the main lead in the first two available episodes of Contrast ^_^ cant wait for the entire drama to be available internationally!
where did you watch all 8 episodes, if you don’t mind me asking? are you based in Japan? seems like internationally we’re only getting 1 episode per week :(
I went in with zero expectations, thinking that I won’t like it and might end up dropping it. But I actually ended up liking it much more than I expected!
I loved how they were together from the beginning and that we didn’t spent several episodes stuck on silly misunderstandings. I’m kinda tired of the “taking 99% of the series to get together and starting the relationship a few minutes before the drama ends” trope.
Amagi is a literal ball of sunshine. Takara is the typical stoic popular guy lol. Katori as the “ Wind Whisperer “ was amazing 😂 i really love how supportive he was the whole time. (It’s funny how I coincidentally saw Jack o’ Frost right before watching this drama, where he was the main role. I started watching Takara and Amagi without knowing he was in this drama too. The contrast between the roles was incredible 😂)
They really needed to chill on the blurring effect though😭 I honestly don’t see why that was even necessary? both main leads have amazing skin that didn’t require any further editing. the filter was so bad at some points that it made them (especially amagi) look like ghosts🥲
