Actors all play well, they're gorgeous. Music is superb - especially intro, costumes and fighting, and acting are good too👍. But the plot and story pacing is so-so, in my opinion. I expected something like "Double" of Qian Shan Cha Ke (sorry if I used her name incorrectly - meant no insult, I struggle with Chinese names). Here, the intrigues are not political intrigues, seems more like child plays. CZ is weirdly confident in all her planning, while all that plans have failed. Too simple intrigues of everyone, none of the characters even consider that their schemes may not work, so they leave no place for backup plans. All they do is later consider like "waah, he/she outmaneuvered me... I underestimated him/her". Seriously 😒 Maybe more episodes were needed for this drama... So far, what I saw in released episodes is that all main players got trapped in their rivals scheming in order, one after another. XX< CZ

FL tries to save money for grandma's operation but doesn't have enough and time is ticking. Her mother abandoned her several years ago, right after her father died of sickness, and overall mother is selfish bitch. That mother recently married very rich businessman, ML's estranged father. Many bad things happened to FL (including deteriorating health of grandma), so she was on the verge and decided to punish her mother. FL tries to get close to ML to threaten the mother with telling the new husband that his wife's abandoned daughter dates his son ( he doesn't know about his new wife being mother). Being very rich and with even stricter patriarch (ML grandpa) he cares a lot about his reputation, so most likely he'll abandon that bitch to save face. Later, FL does fall in love with ML, but there're many complications (including ML side).

In the novel, the main leads never even met before living in Zhazha.

And prospects for studying at the best colleges abroad. Well, I can still understand her. She's lived 17 years of her life in premium luxury, but now, in a couple of moments, everything has changed completely. Her mother died, her father was imprisoned, and she was sent to a rural area to live with strangers. At the same time, the living conditions of Xing Wu and his mom are worse in the novel, too.
And here, I'm not saying that it's okay to look down on people from rural areas; it's wrong. We, adults, understand that you have to adapt to live as it is. But she's a teenage girl, 16-17 in the novel, who has nobody to rely on, and most of her life and future prospects are ruined. Now, she shares a room with a guy she initially thought was some gangster (she saw him beat someone), and with a game-addicted "aunt" who always reeks of strong-scented perfume and cream, as a senior to look after her. This house has no internet or decent rooming, just an outside toilet, a constantly leaking roof, and a pervert neighbor with whom you actually share this toilet full of bugs. She and Xing Wu had never met before, and they never played as kids.
In my opinion, she adapted quite quickly and well.
