I feel like this was the last idol period drama which had realistic tone coloring with some texture and not too much over the top makeup . Now most historical idol period drama just fluorescent filters skin smoothning and over the top makeup for both male and female

I have watched two historical drama projects of this director and he nerfs the female lead in both the dramas and plots goes downhill in both of them 😀. It will be a miracle if this drama works out in his hands

There is little bit of romance not much cause it’s mostly career oriented drama for female lead how she pass her hardship and become successful. But male lead also spend most of the time with female lead he helps her backs her its just realistic kind of genuine loyalty and love between them at the lat 10 episodes male lead goes through something at that time they get together she helps him and the end is happy ending . Villian are really annoying though 😂 some are just realistic family disruptions how every family has everywhere around the world on the family business or property. But the family also comes together at last .

He has the manly look very sophisticated, he has the height, he has the voice , i really want to see him in another serious historical drama . He is nit made for idol genre serious without filter will shoot him more

I couldn’t bear to watch recent thrashy repetitive and recycled formulaic dramas so this drama was on my list to watch just in case nothing better airs and ain’t gonna lie its worth it . Like when you can watch an masterpiece feel the character hate the character and cry and be immersed into it why do we need to force ourselves to watch those thrashy generic cringe idol dramas bruh . This drama is masterpiece if u truly like Chinese culture and want to learn about its ink, family dynamic, abd whatever . Some people will also find it relatable with the female lead . I really hope women and girls ti not be stuck with the recent brainrotting idol romance dramas which shriks your brain and thinking and decision process . Ain’t gonna lie the idol genre romance drama for me seems like they think women are dumb in a way how they are made. Only some are exceptions like this drama

Woah that doesn’t excuse the director to create a cringe drama like any other typical short drama which we have seen hundreds of times 🥱

😂 what can i say about this show its a republican drama after all just like everyother romance republican drama in short drama genre . I really find it funny bruh instead of hot i really can’t stop laughing 😆. And also having violence against women is just a core plot for this type

if another foxspirit match maker drama is made than i guess that half human and half demon kid will be the male lead and if yunfei and his wife has a daughter than i guess she will be the female lead and like yunfei older stepbrother was shown so i guess he will be a villian if that happen and he will end yunfei and his wife i guess and a new plot drama 😆

actually for me main villian which is the black fox i really find it boring and uninteresting as a villian for me the sidekicks like qingcheng, quan jingting, gulizan felt more interesting i dont know even in love in pavillion i just find the black fox really uninteresting as a villian
