This is a S+ project on iQIYI, yet it doesn’t even show up on the platform’s list of dramas they intend to push. There are also rumors about LYX’s contract expiring, and looks like this project is for bringing new faces .

So in the end, I’ll probably just watch it for his acting. If it manages to turn things around against all odds, that would be great. But seeing how platforms can influence datas of the dramas airing on theirs is quite disheartening.

Even if you’re not satisfied with Ah Shui’s character arc, the harsh truth is her acting range and her billing position are what they are. In C-ent, these are facts you might not want to accept, but have to. If she’s the one with acting talent who can fully bring a character to life and have solid drama performances, then the kind of story you want could actually become possible.

Will WOF Osts instrumentals or BGMs still have a chance to come out? I really wanna hear the instrumental for the opening song and a few of the other BGMs so badly!

I honestly don't think Hao Yi Xing will ever be broadcast. It feels like CCP is cracking down on BL novel writers even harder now. And also there are rumors that actors who filmed BL can’t work in the Mainland . Unless a miracle happens, I don't see it coming out 🥹😅

Throughout Luo YunXi’s artistic journey, this is the drama with the best camera work / cinematography so far.
It sometimes has a Netflix-style, Western crime-scene vibe , the shots are beautifully composed. You can tell the director put a lot of thought into the camera work. The framing, color aesthetics, and overall crime-drama mood are all on point.

Out of the six cases, I honestly enjoyed all the side cases.
My favorite is Li Xuting’s “Spider Cocoon Murder” case. Just like Luo Yunxi said the moment you start thinking “this guy might be the killer,” he ends up dead 🤣

However, the main villain and overall plot felt weak. The professor’s motive wasn’t well developed, and plot holes became more obvious toward the end.
And I really don’t like how they treated towards screen time of Qi SiZhe and Captain Zhu in last episodes.

That’s why, except for a handful of delusional people, none of the other viewers actually liked those characters.

At its core, WOF is really about Tan Li’s long life journey. The rest of the characters are simply people he meets and interacts with along the way.
As for Yemo, there should have been a stronger and more detailed storyline and structure. I’ve read everything you guys wrote, and I’ve also come to understand some things that were difficult for me to grasp before.

Btw , WOF is praised by SAFRT ( also CVB , the most reliable rating system in China ) as Annual Champion of Mango TV alongside with most popular dramas from different platforms. Glad for this recognition. Cuz some people just brag third party data Yunhe to drag WOF 🤣

After rewatching SLY, I actually felt more irritated. Since I’m a shonen anime fan, I was genuinely happy at first, thinking this genre would be totally my thing.
But there are some unnecessary and pointless parts, and watching some people who clearly can’t act is honestly a kind of torture.

TLC vs Yemo special battle should have been included properly. Guimudan should have been introduced from the very beginning to set up the story. I’m really not satisfied with the plot. It should have been much better than this.

Some characters are extremely charismatic, but others are so lacking in appeal that they make you sleepy the moment they appear on screen.
That said, the fight scenes, OSTs, and background music are good, so it’s still entertaining.
But after rewatching, I can’t help feeling frustrated with the plot.

I keep thinking that if the Celestial Realm arc had been given more focus and screen time, the series would have been far more engaging.

Even with just a few minutes of screen time, there are many characters who became popular and gained a fanbase because the actors portrayed them so well and so convincingly.

But fan of a character who was unnecessarily but favorably inserted into the drama played by someone who can’t convey any expressions or emotions sour about this drama and male lead LYX . Even took Yunhe’s information without even watching the drama to the end and using it to downgrade the show.

Since that acc is not real fan of the drama, there’s no need to spend time respectfully replying to .

That acc keep bringing up “water physics” and “the Persian carpet” ,this is already the third time. Every drama has its strengths and weaknesses ,if you like it, watch it, and if you don’t, then just don’t. It’s that simple.
But I really don’t understand the haters who waste all their time and energy on it. If I don’t like something, I won’t even bother to look at it.

There are dramas on Yunhe that are hits but don’t make profits. Even though Yunhe gives almost a zero coefficient, there are actually dramas that do turn a profit, like Light Chaser Rescue. I only got to read about it today . In terms of acting, I feel that Luo Yunxi could do even more, but it seems like neither the story nor the production is making good use of him.

SLY has now broken 4 billion views on Douyin. Among all the dramas that aired at the same time , SLY is the one with the highest numbers. Even though many related topics about SLY were being suppressed, achieving this level of success wasn’t easy at all.
