Blades of the Guardians is a visually impressive wuxia action film with spectacular fight choreography and ensemble cast.
The story can feel a little crowded at times, but the action and the world-building make it an entertaining watch.
I just wish we had gotten more of Jet Li because I really wanted to see more of him.
I also really liked Ci Sha and am curious to see how Zhang Yi’s character will become more important in the upcoming films. Overall, a solid start to what could become an exciting franchise.
