The constant push and pull between the leads until the very end was frustrating too. I genuinely don’t understand how they could remain so involved in each other’s lives for so long and still have the ML acting terrified of commitment.
The only ending that made even a little sense to me was Zhou Mei’s. Everyone else’s storyline felt like pure rage bait.

We lack an emotional connection to the villains being brought to justice, making their deaths or escapes feel meaningless. This is simply poor writing. For the main story to begin in episode 22 is ridiculous. I have watched several other dramas with side plots that still give you something to look forward to. Their side stories are tied to the main plot, and the villains are well-developed enough that you want to see them defeated. This is just not a good story, full stop.
