Maybe the reason for that is what few others here have mentioned - that Haixia also had heart on the right side, which means Hailou's stab wasn't lethal. But that's just a maybe, because I don't know any lore of this universe.

The guy seemed more shy about that than regretful, and I think he fell in love with her after that night. For me, it definitely wasn't rape. Maybe the author of the comment thought it was rape because that lady, in general, was using men for sexual pleasure (they mentioned that), but none of that was shown to us. And I think they actually liked each other. There were some signs in previous events that their reactions could be read like that.

I wouldn't call that rape. They were drunk, and she took the initiative with an inexperienced guy, but there was no violence. And those were side characters not leads.

Funny enough, this is my first drama for both lead actors, so my opinion is definitely not biased by fandom (I have only seen Han Mingxi's actor and all my gamble was if he would be as big a villain as in PoJ or not, lol. And Feibai, ofc, also from PoJ). I am not taking any of their sides, but I can see the reasons why MXY's reaction in ep31 can be justified. The divorce was too rash a decision, however.

He's my favourite. I enjoy pretty much anything he's in. And I think Zhang Haixia was his best role I've seen. The other ones I love was Zhou Chuan, Shen Du and Chu Kong.

Yes, both of them. I have also seen Love You Seven Times, Melody of Golden Age and Romance of a Twin Flower. Other one apart from The Romance of Tiger and Rose I am considering maybe is Intense Love or maybe adventure one White Cat Legend.

Same here, completely agree with you. Definitely one of the best I've seen. I am considering to watch one of Yuxi romance ones as my coping mechanism. Probably the one with Zhao Lusi which I haven't seen yet. Just to see him happy (I hope that one has happy ending, lol).

But this I will definitely rewatch.
