The AI use is jarring and absolutely unecessary. "Telling" sometimes works better than "showing". And those animated AI flashbacks are icky and cringe.
It would put me off completelly if the story and the Main Leads chemestry and skills were not that good (the kissing is textbook chinese tho). An edited cut without the AI would improve the production imho.
That being said and out of the way, I am in love Nie Chuan, he is one of my favorite characters of the year. #niechuansavestheworld
If you made it through Double Helix, you are good with this one. This one, at least, does not fool you with lovey dovey couples at the start. From the begining EVERYTHING IS FUCKED. You got nothing, you are as clueless as the main caracther. For now you are with TWO questions: WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON? and WHYYYYYYYYYYY!?
Moth suposed to be be the uptight, but fell first and harder for the sluty player Dean in the first episode? Those characters don't have my respect. Nobody to root for here. Call me if get any good by the end.

Some really bold move to recommend Double Helix to someone watching this FR. 😂😂. It's like the oposite side of the spectrum; the lowest depths of the iceberg in the genre.
Wow! What a breath of fresh air. Those familiar with the Thai version will notice there was not a second wasted here with side quests and fat fillings. Just straight to the point. The casting here does not disapoint: the plot suits the japanese acting style (underreacting x overreacting) very well. So far, so good.
