I wonder if anyone has asked him why he is so allergic to happy endings...he needs to change it up now and then cause based on his reputation, we can figure out what his type of ending will be...getting repetitive

Ya that sucks ..wish we could petition to gjm to give us a truly happy ending...for both couples ...heck..I would be willing to take a written ending with no scene saying what happened after whatever final scenes they give us knowing that they have finished production already. Or I just hope the leaked script is not everything and there is more

I too am more into shiguang and wangyan couple...I really want a happy ending for them but not expecting it which sucks

Not a bad ending doesn't mean happy ending as well... Based on the spoilers out there of leaked script, its considered open ended I guess but who knows if what's out there is entirely true

Ya the story telling could be great but if the ending is the same or always the same options then it gets repetitive and boring.

Then he is going to end the series with angst or semi-angst based on his reputation. I mentioned before he needs to change up a bit and give us some happy ending dramas otherwise it gets predictable. They all die or 1 dies etc

But even if we get 3 episodes back to back, they will all be filled with angst..we just get 3 times the angst...lol

Well ya since wuyi and Wanyan have no memories of them so it would be starting fresh and they won't have all that history...I mean it would still be happy I guess but on the bittersweet side if he were to show us more scenes

Ya that would be better to have more scenes..like EP 30 would be to give us a glimpse of what it will be like the 4 of them after the big battle ... hopefully happy ..

He needs to give us a solid happy ending..that would surprise us all...as we wouldn't be able to see it

He needs to break out of this routine then as people can guess the ending already based on previous dramas. I remembered in kdramas, the Hong sisters were known for sad endings etc but for alchemy of souls., they had a happy one. People were elated but also had no idea where they were going to take it. I think people may eventually lose interest in work unless he provides some variety of endings other than OE or BE.

Has GJM ever had a series that had a happy ending? The odds are an open ending or bad ending for veil of shadows but wish that just once, he breaks his preference and gives us a happy ending. Definitely would be giving his audience a curveball if he gives us a happy ending...

I just learned of her from veil of shadows and she is amazing. Great actress, very talented and beautiful.

Anyone know what the ending is for her character wuyan and shiguan? I've seen some spoilers of their ending on YouTube but not much explanation of the ending. It was more like a translation. Would love to know if anyone knows as I know scripts have been leaked etc
