I am actually not interested in xio he's kidnapping at all ...so ep 16 was boring for me... Wished they skipped this completely or at least solved and got her back at the end of EP 16. That said based on the preview of ep17 since there is no focus on her kidnapping, it must be solved right away in EP 17 since her dad did find her and is dealing with the people in the van.
I wish they could just stick to more scenes in 2015 and 2002 dealing with the murder case and mengmeng. Feels like xio he's kidnapping is like filler.

It was clear if the future wasn't rewritten. Shiguang was gonna try to get wangyan out of the tree since he had is sword in hand and looked like he was getting ready to charge it up to get her out. I wonder what would have happened if the future was not rewritten.
Would he have succeeded and if so, would he have sacrificed himself in her place? Would he have even be able to do so...
Anyways glad we got a happy ending after all. Mind you would have loved to see an extra episode showing us more of their future.. like interactions of wuwu couple after he tells her their story...their marriage etc. same with jiling and wuyi as well...will we see li jie finding ji ling...and also all the other characters ..would they be able to fulfill their regrets they had in the previous history.

Just saw a new YouTube vid with more details on the ending and combining this with the other spoiler of them meeting 3 years after and she forgot him, I see Chen dulings point of not a bad ending. Looks like the ending is open ended but probably more on the happy side as she asked him to find her again and make her love him again which he promised. Let's see if thats.how it plays out.
