SHOULD HAVE BEEN LONGERRRRR I'M LOVING IT
As we wait for the last 2 episodes, let me drop what I feel right now: GMMTV has really outdone themselves with this one. First of all, KUDOS TO THE EDITING AND CGI TEAM CAUSE WOW WHAT IS THAT INSANE QUALITY OF VISUALS?! AND the directing too, so so well executed. AND THE SOUND DESIGN???? THIS SERIES HAS SUCH INCREDIBLE OSTS AND TRACKS?????
I became a fan of Sky and Nani only a little before this started, but HOLYYY the acting is SO GOOD. And not just theirs, every single person who has shown up at whatever point in this series has absolutely DELIVERED. Can we take a moment to appreciate how P'Godji has delivered PEAK ACTING like her character is literally the opposite of her in real life.
I am so fond of stories that are able to weave in characters that have somewhat of a similar history of loss, and both of them show up for each other and those close to them very differently. After this series I am ready to adopt Pete. That is my kid now, nobody say anything to him 😤. You will be positively surprised by Nani's portrayal of Pete, specially if you know Nani a little bit through his interviews and other appearances. What fantastically performed scenes, whether they be the angry ones, emotional ones, mature-talk ones, or the demon ones.
AND NIRANNNNNNNNN. NIRANNNNNNN MY MAN. What an incredible performance by Sky. I feel so much for Niran even in such a short period of time. Sky is able to bring the quiet sadness to Niran so incredibly well. Man I'm running out of adjectives to describe how I absolutely loved watching him, Nani, and everyone else.
When I tell you they managed to create character arcs in such a short series I absolutely mean it. The way Niran and Pete are able to come through for each other has been executed beautifully. And the folklore itself is so engaging and so fun to watch and follow along with.
