i absolutely adore them, they are amazing by themselves but even better together. i cant believe how much in love with this drama i got, i had no interest initially but gave it a chance and now i cant have enough😭zhao ling was already so endearing and charming, a total breath of fresh air and now tingyun completely won me over too, she's doing so great i feel proud😭

they never said the real one's name did they? the son's name might not even be zhao ling or written with different characters. the imperial salt censor is known but his son isnt very known. ML is pretending to be the son, not the imperial salt censor himself. madam yu knew the salt censor personally so she also knew this isnt his son.

i doubt he will 'fall' for her in the traditional sense, i think he will just realize what a bad decision it was to reject her when he had all the chances. he was young and impulsive and will later regret his choice is what it seems like.
