Cheng Lei was magnificent in My Journey to You because that production benefitted from the elements LOTFG lacked - a sharp screenplay and inspired Direction,
We are indebted to the entire Revenged Love Team that came out the blue and made the last several weeks a Rainbow Summer of Love, Hope, Laughter and Joy.
Would we have liked the finale to be double the length, sure but with half that runtime we still went out on a high with a heart full of awareness of why we fell in love with BL in the first place.

Chai Jidan has done it again! Brought the BL world to a standstill, set a new standard for adaptations in the entire genre, and by some indicators is also taking the entire Chinese Entertainment industry by storm, which is no mean feat.
This is a great collab with Director Gong Yu Shi who I’ve never heard of before but I’m very impressed with.
Kudos to the actors who made us viscerally feel every single emotion the story intends to convey.
Now to curl up and recover from this magnificently gutting episode 18.

Same. The BTS should be released at the end to prolong the hype. Releasing at the same time as the episodes causes confusion and even negative reactions when people keep comparing the rival with the draft and getting anxious about subsequent episodes as if they’re Golden Eagle Awards. winning Directors 😀.
Both teams dropped the ball here but I think the platforms were motivated by extra subscriptions and traffic because this does not make sense as a choice of the creatives.
China needs to put more emphasis on telling its own stories as all we have is western propaganda. Everyone would benefit from knowing true history as it happened, not the anti-communist fantasies we get from our text books to Hollywood, alone.
