In a way the bittersweet end was exactly what the series needed, but with the heightened popularity, a huge chunk of the fandom would have been unsatisfied. With or without the extra I'd have been fulfilled anyway but the peek into their married life is all the sweetness I need rn so win-win

In a way, her life has been pituful, betrayed by all the men in her life till the bitter end, but she chose to branded by the fire instead of being molded by it for a rebirth just like XFF. Granted she's had it rough, but I still can't bring myself to sympathize with her, she made all the wrong choices, executed countless people on a whim & stole a whole husband from another woman, she deserved to meet her end in his hands. Poetic justice 🔥
Gotta give it to SYR, he's a vile disgusting snake sure, but he's a smart one, and we all know cunning villains are the most difficult to beat. He's the one person so far who has gone toe to toe with Jiang Li, he figures out her schemes no matter how intricate and counters with a calm head, now he's taken his devious schemes to king Cheng, his hunger for power will be the end of him and his equally horrible family
