Exactly it's all these and more for me, WJY & WXY's masterful acting not to talk of their palpable chemistry, it was fireworks whenever they met. Then I got so intrigued with SYRs dejected woe-is-me act, that I started to anticipate when he'll finally snap and kill the twirling wacko princess, it was interesting to watch the subtle hints of the shift in their power dynamic. I loved how she haunted & tormented the entire Shen family, infact there's so much to be intrigued with that 40 minutes just flies by and you're left craving the next high.

Currently on another rewatch also just started the book

Can't put my hands on what it is exactly, but this show is like crack, it sucks you in till the very end. Brace yourself, You're in for a wild ride

When the LYF craze and crave became too intense for me, I had to read the book and it was an enthralling experience.

Don't know about anyone else, but I watch em for the fun of it, seeing their interactions with fans and their sense of style is good enough for me, I'm the last person to have unrealistic expectations of any actor, before WXY it was WHD and TJC and I love to watch them on variety shows and get to understand their personalities better, not ship them by force. I ain't delulu

You know I held out hope till the bitter end praying the drama would adopt a Xianxia ending and show even a 5 second glimpse of an egg about to hatch, to give hardcore XL fans hope and have us run wild with our imaginations, wondering if he's gonna come back, but nah not even a sliver of hope
