The ending wraps up all of the storylines completely, only the fate of the ML is up to the viewers to decide. I think it's a very good and suitable ending for this drama.

Some of the cast have talked about the possibility of a second season but nothing confirmed yet. To be honest a second season seems really unlikely specially since they've already covered the whole novel
