This is exactly my point. People dont mind him being rude because he is who he is. would the ninth prince tolerate just anybody talk to him like that? And eventhough he has to go through the exam just like everybody else but that young master in charge of the exam already said he's the one that will be accepted so this is all for show. I think his character needs to be taught a lesson and needs a wakeup call but he didnt learn anything even from his master's passing, because his master's death was the result of him being arrogant at that sword island but still he didnt change and he's still arrogant in ep 9. Maybe he'll have character development later. About father and son relationship always being like this in wuxias, there's usually a good reason for the dispute and usually the son isnt so rude like this. If they give us a good reason in the future, I will change my mind.

That's why people say he's a spoiled brat and up until now they havent really given us any reason as to why he's rude to his dad so his rudeness seems unnecessary and out of being favored by his grandpa. Again as you said he was also rude to his future master. Aside from him, he was rude to that ninth prince and also that talkative guy. He even drenched that talkative guy with water eventhough he was just trying to help him. All of these make him look like a spoiled brat. And to make it worse, everyone gives him a free pass even if he's rude and impolite which makes his character quite intolerable and insufferable. Right now I favour 2ml to ml.

I was looking forward to this drama for months but to be honest I am disappointed. Feels like they're focusing too much on cgi and fight scenes that they completely forgot to spend time for character development. Right now all characters feel flat and one dimensional. Even the love story between ML and FL... How can he fall in love with her with only one glance without even seeing her face? I'm curious, is it the same in the novel too? But since it's only been 4 episodes, I will stick with it for now, hopefully it will improve in the upcoming episodes.
