- My ratings are based entirely on my personal enjoyment:
10 – Absolutely addictive, whether it’s the storyline or characters I couldn’t get enough of, or if it has a lower rating and I feel it deserves way more recognition.
8-9.5 – I really enjoyed it, but something was missing that could’ve taken it to the next level. These are dramas I’d definitely recommend to others.
7-7.5 – It was decent, but there were clear shortcomings, whether in the plot, acting, or certain annoying characters/relationships.
6-6.5 – Watchable, but not enjoyable. At times, I had to push myself to finish, and there were moments I just didn’t like it.
1-5 – Why did I waste my time on this?
- When I watch something, I focus primarily on the story and characters. If the story is compelling, I can overlook things like bad CGI, average music, mediocre costumes, and even subpar acting. But if the story doesn’t grab me, nothing can make up for it.
- I mostly watch Korean and Chinese dramas, occasionally Japanese and Thai
- My favourite genre is historical/period/costume, but I can and do watch everything as long as I like the premise or the actors.
-When it comes to my favorite actors, I try to stay as objective as possible when rating their works, but it's inevitable that I'll enjoy their dramas and movies more on a personal level.
- To make it onto my list of favorite actors, they need both the looks and the talent, along with the tendency to portray characters I can really get invested in (mostly tragic and misunderstood heroes or morally grey anti-heroes). If the roles aren't compelling, even the best actors won't catch my interest.
