An unforgettable masterpiece.

I usually watch only thriller and action but decided to give this drama a go because I've read so much praise about it.

And now after finishing it I can say My Mister is the easiest 10/10 I have ever given. No other show, western or Korean, has affected me emotionally like My Mister has.

It is an absolutely beautiful story of two depressed and troubled people who heal and save each other.
My Mister is depressing and sad at some points, but most importantly it is hopeful. My Mister shows how important it is to be kind to others and how important it is to have caring people around you.

My Mister (나의 아저씨) deserves the perfect rating of 10/10 and it is a must-watch show for everyone.

An entertaining and fun ride!

I was very doubtful if Player 2 would be any good because there had been a 6-year gap between the seasons. But I'm glad I watched it because I enjoyed every second of the drama!!

The new characters are all very memorable and well acted! I really liked Director Hwang :D I also feel like the individual cases were more interesting and better written, when compared to the first season.

The pacing is fast and there is no boring moments at all! The planning and background story bits are very short, most times it's just straight into the action.

I really love these types of dramas/shows/movies, and I don't really care about plot holes or unrealistic moments in them. I can just turn off my brain and enjoy for 60-120 minutes :D

However, I have to say that I had the same issue with this season as the first season: The individual cases are great, but the overarching plot and the big villain are just meh. The main villain in Player 2 also is almost identical to the one in Player 1. I would have enjoyed this drama more if the overarching plot was more interesting and the main villain wasn't the most generic and boring, comically evil guy we all have seen 1000 times in movies and dramas before. I really hope this can be improved if Player gets a third season.

---------
SUMMARY: An entertaining ride full of action, twists, and meticulous twists. Player 2 has memorable and fun characters who you want to see even more after the season ends. And MAN I want more seasons to this, both Player and Taxi Driver are dramas that I could watch 100 seasons of, and not get bored. Please watch The Player 2!!!

Another great Disney+ action thriller!

I hadn't heard of this drama before but stumpled upon it while watching "Moving" on Disney+. Very glad I decided to watch, it was just what I needed right now.

What I liked:

-Action is really really REALLY good in this drama. Knife fights, gunfights, drones, machine guns, explosions, murder robots; A shop for killers has it all and the action is mostly very well made and thrilling.

- Pacing is very tight and I wasn't bored at any point when watching the drama. A shop for killers has a quite interesting structure; the main plot in the present day takes place only in one location. However, there's multiplr long flashback sequences used to reveal the characters' backstories. The flashbacks weren't boring or annoying, quite the opposite, they were really interesting.

What I didn't like:

- Writing was quite messy at some points and some of the characters could have been written a lot better. I'm maybe just stupid but there were multiple situations where I had no idea why characters did what they did, the motivations were extremely confusing. The main villain Bale is also just a very onedimensional psychopath killer, and nothing else besides that. Other characters however were memorable and likable. ML and FL were both great and well acted. I really enjoyed Pasin and Minhye too (did she really die :| )

-There were many unanswered questions that definitely need to be addressed in a second season, otherwise this is quite disappointing. The entire Bale vs Jinman storyline wasn't resolved AT ALL. How did Jinman fake his death and why wasn't Bale involved in the present day plot in any way? This definitely needs a second season but I really doubt we are getting one, unfortunately.

- This is a common issue with pretty much all action K-dramas, but almost everything in this drama is extremely unrealistic. Even though the action was mostly great, I just had to laugh at how silly and unrealistic some of the scenes were. The storyline itself is definitely not down-to-earth or realistic either; it's VERY over-the-top almost throughout the drama. Didn't quite get into Vagabond- territory where protagonist survives a 1vs50 gunfight, but this drama was close to that at some point. Overall, these things didn't really annoy me in this drama, but I just wanted to mention them.

----------

A shop for killers is an excellent addition to Disney+ action K-drama catalogue, alongside "The worst of evil" and "Moving". The drama suffered from weak and messy writing at some points and I wasn't entirely satisfied with the open-ish ending either. However, the memorable characters and thrilling action sequences make this a must watch drama if you enjoy action!

An excellent revenge story with phenomenal action sequences.

I absolutely loved this show but it had a few minor issues. I want to talk about them first.

This drama has some plotholes and it is very unrealistic at times. This is to be expected when watching Action shows or films and the plotholes in this show didn't really annoy me at all.

Additionally, the plot isn't unique or groundbreaking in any way. It's actually very predictable. However, the revenge plot was executed very well and the quality of writing didn't really drop at any point.

While I thought the ending was satisfying and good enough, and definitely not bad or disappointing, it was the biggest issue I had with the show. The ending is very abrupt and it doesn't really wrap things up properly. I would have liked 20-40 minutes more after the final battle to see consequences of the events that happened in the final episode. Then again, I thought the ending was good enough but it could have been significantly better.

Now to the things that I loved:
---------------------------------------

Acting, especially Han So-Hee's and Park Hee-Soon's was absolutely incredible. Han So-Hee plays a young woman who goes on a grueling and violent journey to avenge her father's death. She was perfect in this role, and I definitely fell in love with her when watching this show :D

Park Hee-Soon plays a charismatic and complex villain who I ended up really liking during the show.

The absolute best thing in the drama is the action. There isn't shaky-cam or hundreds of fast cuts to hide the action, no no no. The very brutal and violent action sequences are very clearly shown. The action choreography is incredible and I really like how the actors performed the action scenes themselves. You can clearly see how much they trained for the fight scenes and how much effort they put into them. This drama has by far my favorite action sequences in any K-drama.

I have to mention the Soundtrack too. I fell in love with it from the very beginning of the first episode. The soundtrack has many melancholic and slower tracks, but it also has intense and epic tracks to go with the action. The title "My Name" has to be my favorite from the OST.

9,5/10. Definitely watch this if you like revenge stories, strong female characters, action or thriller!

A good story ruined by awful CGI and music.

I'm really annoyed because I want to give a higher rating for Sweet Home.

I struggled to get through Episodes 1-2 but after that the drama was amazingly gripping and there were no boring moments whatsoever.

Every character is memorable, interesting and well acted. My favorites were the "grandpa" Gil Seop, Ji Su, and Sang Wook.

I loved the story, characters, and the gore in the drama. But this drama had some absolutely baffling issues:

First of all, this drama was the first I've watched where I have actively disliked the soundtrack. Playing Imagine Dragons' "Warriors" MULTIPLE TIMES was an AWFUL choice. Completely broke the immersion, and the song definitely didn't fit into the drama. Imagine Dragons wasn't even the only poor choice of music in the drama. Soundtrack overall was very weak in Sweet Home.

Other big problem was the CGI effects. With some things it was fine, in most situations it was dreadful. Most of the monsters were just a big CGI mess, which was very disappointing. However as the drama got closer to the finale, I wasn't really bothered with the CGI that much.

I also wasn't a big fan of the "Let's cram as many twists and turns into the last 15 minutes as possible"- cliffhanger ending.

7,5/10

Not what I expected but ended up loving the drama.

Before watching I expected Kingdom to be a slow political thriller with zombies here and there.
However, Kingdom is a very fast-paced zombie action thriller that is absolutely stunning visually, taking the watcher straight to the 17th century Joseon.

In my opinion almost everything in this drama is perfect, acting and the action sequences especially impressed me.

I do have two very minor issues about the story and characters. While the characters are interesting, I would have liked to see more focus on the character development and their backstories.

Additionally, the ending is exciting but almost cliffhanger-y, which I'm usually not a big fan of. The good thing is that Kingdom has a 2nd season that you can watch immediately after finishing season 1!

This is a must watch drama for fans of historical, action, thriller, and zombie dramas!!

A great noir thriller with some annoying issues.

I tried to find an entertaining and thrilling action drama and ended up watching this. After the ending I can say that I really enjoyed the drama overall but there were a few things that annoyed me.

What I liked about the drama was the acting and action. The action was brutal and bloody and well choreographed. Every character was excellently acted, and Ji Chang Wook makes an amazing performance once again. Bibi in her drama debut was also in a surprisingly big role and definitely was great in her role.

The story is a dark and depressing and features many complex characters who you can't easily pinpoint whether they are good or bad or doing the right thing.

The thing I disliked about the drama has to do with the writing. Euijeong's and Junmo's relationship is supposed to be one of the most important things in the drama yet there's barely any scenes of them together or even talking to each other.

----> Euijeong in general was extremely underdeveloped as a character and a little poorly written. She is supposed to be an experienced police officer yet she doesn't act like one at all. There is not even one scene where Euijeong is participating in a fight or using her police skills (physical or verbal). Even worse, she is just scared and flustered in most scenes. This seriously annoyed me during the show and unfortunately reduced my enjoyment of the drama quite a bit.

Additionally, It might be just me and my stupidity, but there were multiple events where I was left really confused as to why it happened or why a character did what they did. These mostly involved Mingoo's character, his actions were extremely confusing and a little unrealistic to me.

-------------------

All in all, I really enjoyed this drama and loved MOST of the characters, the action, and the noir themes in the drama. Unfortunately I was once again left with a bad taste in my mouth because of the rather poor writing and characterization of some characters. It really is a shame because at first the drama really seemed like it would skyrocket straight to my favorite dramas, alas, it didn't happen.

The Worst of Evil is a must watch for fans of Ji Chang Wook, noir, or action. My final rating for the drama is either 8,5 or 9/10.

A slightly disappointing ending.

The second half of the drama was definitely weaker than the first. The acting was excellent and the drama still was very gripping. I liked the story a lot —up until episode 14.

In the last two episodes the story got a little messy in my opinion. A lot of unexplained and just weird plot points. The revenge itself also didn't feel as satisfying as I had hoped and the ending felt rushed. The romance between the main characters also didn't work because of the massive age gap and lack of chemistry.

Overall I still enjoyed part 2 and the issues didn't really ruin the drama. I am just disappointed as I expected this drama to become one of my favorites. To the drama as a whole I would give 8,5/10.
