I love my fair share of Noona romances, but this somehow didn't work for me, and it's not because of the step-siblings factor (that didn't bother me at all), but I felt the drama so uneventful that it lulled me to sleep half of the time. Fast forwarded most scenes with the second and third pairings, they were too dull for my taste. Only watched this for the main couple until I realized later that this was a remake of "Something in the Rain" after the iconic "hand under the table" scene.

Sure it didn't have the annoyingly repetitive soundtrack of the Korean version, but it also didn't have the same nostalgia as the original. The Korean version at least tried to get a pluvious motif running, although sluggishly executed. I couldn't connect to the characters that are mostly one-dimensional, and there's not enough meat in the story for me to rate this higher. It seemed to me that the insertion of many plot arcs are just fillers, with no real contribution to the drama except for hitting the 30 episode quota they set for themselves.

I scored this high only because It's been a long time since I enjoyed a drama and anticipated so much of it that I finished this in record time. And maybe it's because of this, that I was a little bit upset with the drama ending so quickly because I actually wanted more and didn't want it to be over. At 20 episodes, which I usually think is a good enough number, now it is too short. I love the characters as individuals with their own brand of personality and as a group how they lean on each other and help each other grow. This is one of the times that I wish that the writers did not end things with a neatly tied bows and explored more of the ending. I am really hoping for a sequel to this drama.

If you like "Sex and City" type's realistic take on dating in the 21st century, then this series is for you. It certainly is more risque than your average Korean rom-com (of course it is still considered tame compared to Western shows), and gives you a candid peek on the romantic and sex lives of 30+ Korean city gals without the fluff. Finally some real HOT action. Choices that some characters made can be questionable but that is the appeal of this drama - that life is not neatly compartmentalized into A or B packages...and it is the journey and not the end that matters.

I was prepared to give this a lower grade because of the family infighting (mostly between the parents) that dominated the first part of the show and it brought back not so good memories. Also for the wailing (I mean wailing, not crying) and temper tantrums from the daughter that got on my nerves (then I remember that she was supposed to be a teenager). The flashbacks were a good ploy and created suspense but could be a bit confusing at times. But it redeemed itself past the 2nd half. Quirky and funny show about friends, brotherhood, and family, but all those sheep "baa" prompts could be toned down. Loved that it was not as cliché like a lot of dramas but a realistic portrayal of first loves, unrequited loves, and 2nd or 3rd loves. Very down to earth and practical and certainly not your run-of-the-mill drama.

After watching a quarter of the drama, I was not motivated to watch it for a few reasons: mainly, the ML's annoying fake laughter and secondly, the FL's sickly-looking character. The over-the-top antics of the villagers and the one-dimension caricatures in the drama did not aid in supporting my need to watch this drama. Then knowing there was all the ill-fated and illogical coincidences, ML losing memories, FL losing baby, SFL losing her man, SML losing his love, really did not entice me to continue.

I think the drama has a potential to be more amazing as it tackles mature and serious issues like mental illness which is big taboo in reserved societies like Korea. I appreciate the realistic elements as it deals with this subject without being patronizing and the drama discussing mental problems with a very gentle and delicate hand. However, what I find issue with is that almost EVERYBODY in the damn show has a mental health problem.

I get it that it's about psychologists and their patients, but how unlucky can one be, having a schizophrenic BF, an non-functional father, and the female lead herself battling issues with intimacy on her own. As if not to be outdone by his GF's miserable life, the Male lead suffers from a serious mental illness brought on by his abusive upbringing and violent past, which affected also his mother who suffers from disassociation and his brother with anger issues. Then after all the miserable stories we hear, everyone seems to be all miraculously happy in the end with their respective partners. Jo In Sung is a very good actor, however, his aegyo moments are cringeworthy. He cannot do cheese.

Story and characters are adorable. Cinematography and music timing is also pretty impeccable. The sizzling chemistry between Kim Soo Hyun & Jun Ji Hyun propels the drama into another dimension, and arguably, there are no other actor/actress that could play these lead roles so well as they brought the quirkiness of the characters to life. Some loopholes/questions remain unsolved though. It seems like a hodgepodge of secondary characters and events skimming the surface with not enough backstory, thrown in for convenience sake. Not as airtight or compact as it could be and a little drawn out at the end. This is more of a drama that tugs at the heartstrings rather than cater to logical reasoning (even on the non-fantastical elements).

This drama will only appeal to a select few. If you are morally appalled at the thought of an emotional affair between a 20+ yr old man and a much older woman, run from this drama. Otherwise, it is a beautifully crafted love story between two people who have similar interests but opposing ambitions. It is the story of two people's journey and the choices they make in life: whether to be poor in love but wealthy in life. ..or to be poor in life but rich in love. Can you really have both? Yoo Ah in is perfect as the piano prodigy as his fingers weave through the keys. Great acting from both leads. Only drawback from the drama is it could be draggy at some parts.

Amazing! It is as good, if not better than City Hunter, which was so far my favorite action drama, and this one trumps it. Drama has it all: Fast-paced action, forbidden romance, murder mystery surrounding childhood friends, missed connections and reconnected family, political thriller, etc. Ji Chang Wook managed to make the action scenes look really bad ass and cool and so hot and sexy at the same time. His performance as Healer and alter-ego dorky nerd Park Bong Soo are equally endearing. Park Min Young also slays as the inquisitive reporter and their chemistry on-screen is sizzling. The rest of the cast, especially Kim Mi Kyung, round up the drama with solid acting skills. Healer sets the bar when it comes to Korean Action drama, will be hard to beat.

First off, I don't like the ghost character. What was making me just watch this drama was Park Bo Young and even she could not save the drama for me. Secondly, I do not know whether the male lead fell in love with the female lead because of the ghost possessing her body or if he actually fell for her personality (which was not much to begin with). Even though she admired the chef even before she worked for him, her personality is a as dull as the floor of my kitchen. I finally had to drop it because I wasn't sure where the drama was going although I can already predict that it will just end happily with a pretty bow in the end.

The four men that made up the four knights are easy on the eyes, but none of them except for the 2nd male lead had chemistry with the female lead. The beginning of the show was promising as it set up Hyun Min and Ha Won as the main couple, and their bantering was engaging. I shipped this couple until things suddenly turned 180 degrees and apparently Hyun Min has this repressed love for the 2nd female lead who takes the crown for the neediest person on the planet who doesn't have a clue when to get lost.

The middle episodes were slow and I wouldn't not have gone through the torture if it were not for my curiosity. The ending revelations came too fast and suddenly all loose ends tied up even forcing some relationships to rebound without rhyme or reason.

Because of the drama's popularity and Song - Song marriage (and dissolution of), it made me curious to watch after extended hiatus watching from dramas. (Did not watch this until 2019, just putting review now). It did not disappoint as it was not just all about romance, but I feel it was over-hyped. Enjoyed the action and comedic scenes. The second couple also is well-rounded and their story is given equal weight as the lead couple. The story gives prominence to the sacrifices that a lot of men and women in the military and medical field make for their country and its people.

Apparently one of the best Korean dramas ever, the Goblin tackles on supernatural themes of after-life and reincarnation. With characters such as the Goblin, the Goblin's bride, the Grim Reaper and ghosts, the drama fluctuates between romance and fantasy. The two male leads are as charismatic as the female leads were lukewarm. As the drama went along, I was more interested in the love story between the secondary couple. Even the bromance between the Goblin and the Grim Reaper was a better watch, IMO. Would have given this a 10, if it wasn't over-hyped and repetitive towards the last part of the drama.

A gender-bender drama about a woman disguising herself as an eunuch to escape unfortunate circumstances. The pure luck that she had escaping detection was a bit of a fantasy in itself but the suspension of disbelief in watching this drama wasn't too farfetched. Park Bo Gum was great as the stoic, playful and yet righteous king who wants to rule his kingdom in a more democratic way, quite different from the dirty traditional politics that was enveloping his nation. I was rooting for their love and as well as for their fight for truth and freedom in the midst of turmoil.

The drama plot is as unique and interesting as the characters in it. To maneuver between the comic world and the real world, the male lead has to have a strong sense of self-awareness and Lee Jong Suk is excellent as Kang Cheol. His character anchors the drama and everyone else around him contributes to his decision-making. The romance between him and the female lead is bitter sweet. But what also moves the drama forward is the suspense of trying to find out whether Kang Cheol can make both world work in his favour.
