While he tries to cover C-ent in general, I am more focused on Lusi updates. I followed this drama closely way back when it was first associated with her in Jan 2023.
When it comes to C-ent castings, usually reliable melon masters would report it consistently. (Some fanclubs would have idea about their faves’ projects too because they have communication with the studio) Then later on, the platform/production would announce it officially. Or ppl will only know when there’s official news or when the booting starts.
What you posted seem like LYN *replaced* someone when NO ONE’s announced nor consistently rumored for the role.
For TSOPG, Qu Chu Xiao is just ONE OF the actors in randomly popping up melons(melon means rumor). Given also that many melons are just made up. QCX was NOT consistently rumored NOR was he announced (You can check official chinese accounts and news sites). Meanwhile CFY was heavily rumored for the other drama.
