hey there! speaking as someone who is currently watching and has only watched the first 15 eps, i can tell you…
I get your point. C-dramas don't actually have a lot of love triangles where one person is genuinely interested in two people. It's usually just one person pining after someone who doesn't feel the same way, and that's what I absolutely hate. What's the point? We already know from episode 1 who the main character is going to end up with, so what's the purpose? It's stupid, ridiculous, and incredibly annoying.
I don't hate love triangles in general. I actually enjoy them in Western dramas when they're done properly, where the love triangle genuinely plays out and both the viewers and the characters don't know who they're going to end up with. It works especially well because those shows usually have multiple seasons to develop the relationships.
So, all in all, I just don't want a lot of screentime between the FL and SML because I already know there's no point to it. It's just going to be the SML pining after her until she eventually rejects him, and I find that whole thing incredibly annoying.
Can anyone tell me how annoying the love triangle is? I mean, how much screen time does the SML get with the FL? Does he back down gracefully after getting rejected, or does the love triangle drag on for a long time?
What's up with Korean dramas and their comically evil villains? I've been watching K-dramas for over 15 years, and I still haven't managed to find a charismatic villain. They're always so one-dimensionally evil that it's pathetic. Same case with this one a good show ruined by a one-dimensional, evil villain.
How is the Love triangle , But first let me describe my interpretaion of Love triangle- how much screen time does the SML and FL have together, assuming FL is the center for Love triangle.
I’ve seen mostly good responses about this drama, except for some people who don’t like it, so I don’t know…
There is a manufactured hate going on against this show, and I feel like it has nothing to do with the show itself. It’s something else, and I’m trying to figure out what it is. Also, I agree with you Can This Love Be Translated? is a train wreck of a show.

Well, you can see that the rating itself is an indicator. It’s 7.8 with just one episode, which is really bad. And then there are the comments you can see for yourself that a lot of people are talking about it negatively and not just here but everywhere: X, Reddit, you name it.
