Meahwhile, the supposed -to-be diet, was at least dangerous for any human being. She was eating like a baby goat. No doctor or dietician would ever recommend such a diet. And they had the nerve to show that her check up results were perfect after months of eating like that. Those dangerous diets were popular during 80's-90's when people were starving over veggies, and after 2months when they were trying to eat normally, they gained the weight they'd lost but doubled! Dont even mention the metabolism and heart problems that are caused by such violent nutritional changes plus the thyroid problems. pf pure crap
First i was a bit impressed and i kept watching. Last 3 episodes were pure sleeping pills. You re right about the ML, two expressions with eyebrow movement and thats it. I also got dissapointed about how their love story progressed. It wasnt relatable. Cold movements, no chemistry of a couple, bad direction, a normal woman with needs and a ML who always counts calories. I myself got stressed every time they were eating, thinking: "oh now he's gonna complain and start counting her bites" lol
Hahah! I thought the same as well when I started but got drawn in after a few episodes....sat there thinking why…
You re a hero! But his abs and steamy scenes are worth it! It has happened to me too, in other dramas and i consider them as my guilty pleasure. I couldn't go back to this one, but im glad you enjoyed! Thats the purpose in dramas
I ve started watching with zero expectations, as im a huge skip-drop watcher. Up to now (ep7) i havent skippped a scene. First thing i like is the FL character. She s not the usual introvert, clumsy, overdramatic female that expects a ML to save her out of her misery. I love that she wants to lose weight but her life is not depending on it. She is still active and very strong and independent, carrying her family on her back, dealing with her shitty colleagues, standind up for what she thinks is right to do. I also loved the ML's line where she said: "of course you wouldnt expect anything to happen between us" (meaning while she is overweight) and he answered: "you can never be sure about that". That was the answer that body shaming societies need to focus on. And we all know how Korea (and China-Japan) are suffering by these things. Up to now its a good watch-nothing extra ordinary but overall good. Edit: total disappointment towards the end. Next comment under spoiler
Don't forget, this drama is made by Chinese for Chinese, and all twists, arcs and artifacts are just a piece of…
Truth is im a fan of xianxia, but no matter how good or bad a drama is, i rarely see so many people wondering about so many things (i ve read many on Douban too by native chinese speakers). Personally i leave aside my logic when it comes to this genre LOL. I dont need logic, i just entertain myself and leave it like it is.
Actually, drama simplified some storylines and interconnected so many things that were not quite as linear in…
I dont have questions up to now, and even if i will, i put aside my logic when it comes to xianxia-so its not a problem for me-as i dont expect much-i just enjoy the main leads, the cgi, the story and thats all. I dont invest. I was talking mostly for others because as a xianxia fan, i ve watched and talked about many dramas of the same genre, and not in every one (no matter good or bad), people have so many questions.
LOTR can have so many artifacts and subplot but this one can't? Why?
Of course any story can have many artifacts. Its not about the quantity, but more of the good pacing and good narration, the way that an author/scriptwriter puts the events and the elements all together. For example: the narration in LOTR books is not as good as in the movies (though usually happens vice versa). Another good example is the books (and the movies) of Harry Potter. The pacing of main story and substories is almost perfect
Though i ve stopped at ep 18 so to wait for subbed episodes and binge, i read that many people are wondering about the plot, too many elements, artifacts etc, especially after ep 19. And i count that as a script and narration failure. They should have made it less complicated so people can enjoy. I mean its not LOTR or even GOT (though we didnt have that many questions in those 2 epic stories)
Can someone explain to me what is hapenning on ep 12?? Why they get different identities?
They 've entered the dragon's dream (the creature that TTJ found, initially to take energy from it). Its not reincarnation or anything else. They just re-live the lives of the protagonists inside the dragon's dream. I wont spoil anything further, so you ll enjoy, cause there are more details as the episodes go on. For more info and spoilers about that dream arc, check out the discussions, there is a thread were they explain everything in details-including major spoilers.
Ikr. He is so sexy that way, doesn't look strong but actually is! Compare that to some of those buff actors who…
Oh ZYC is also very strong! And also looks petite! I remember in Sleepless princess the FL hardly walked during the whole drama, being carried by him most of the time hahahahahahahah
I mean on shoulder it is easier to carry. Main struggle is when they have to carry in arm.
There's bts where Leo carries Bai lu the usual style (in arms) and he's just walking around while he talks with the crew and i was WHAT? hahahhaahhaha He can do both- piece of cake. Im a fan of bts in almost every drama (naturally curious about the direction style etc) and i ve never seen such comfort in lifting another person
Next time when I watch a period drama and they address the emperor. Bixia is gonna have another dimension to it.…
I wish there were social media back in 90s where latin soap operas had a huge international audience! And they were so soapie a pure guilty pleasure! We missed so much laughter!

Its natural. Common people are not that strong. But sure is considered a good trait for a professional to have extra abilities physically-especially if we re talking about actors
