6/10: 3 for Meguro and 3 for Minami. I loved their banter and chemistry, but that's about it. This movie desperately tried to be moving and to turn on the waterworks, but left me cold. The plot also didn't flow very well... You can see the episodic nature of the novel it's based on

the chemistry between the leads was 🔥🔥 you don't even notice the age gap. and the acting was just chefs kiss

only Japan can make one of the most sweetest and cutest time travel romcoms that starts with a man getting torn to pieces by a train 😭😭

why go to therapy when you can go to the Toronto Japanese Film Festival, watch movies like this, cry a lot, and get catharsis? jokes aside, this was a very well made and moving. film; solid 9.5/10.

I didn't get to talk to the director himself during his Q&A and meet & greet at the film festival. but he was very polite and respectful & even let me take a picture with him!
