I feel the same way. I tried the jdrama version and one episode in, I like it a bit more. Since the Japanese one has like 10 eps, the pacing is better I feel and it's less draggy. The cast is better looking too imo, except for the ML. Maybe give it a try?
Idk, I couldn't get into this drama. The acting, the cinematography and the writing were all good but it was lacking that special something, dropped at ep. 4. I'm liking the Japanese remake a lot more.

In contrast to most people who are interested in Japanese media, nowadays I like dramas more than anime. Hopefully, this translates to future deals that result in more jdramas on Netflix or Amazon or Viki.
